Didn't Conservatives staple teabags to their faces because of this very thing?

Reverting to the stupid arguments used by liberals and conservatives to make points puts you in the same category

Flash doesn't want to deal with the fact that Trump is a Nazi wannabe so he retreats to "bothsiderism" because it's comfortable.

"Bothsiderism" is the most insidious of diseases because it elevates bad faith, and celebrates laziness.

No, Trump is just riding Obama's coattails, but those coattails are not that long and now we're seeing how terrible Trump and Conservative economics are:

Say It One More Time: The Economy Is Slowing
The Federal Reserve and the National Association for Business Economics have both recently lowered their forecasts for growth in 2019 to 2.1 percent.
https://www.npr.org/2019/03/28/70756...omy-is-slowing

The US economy is coming down from a sugar high. How bad will the headache be?
Revisions to fourth-quarter GDP announced today show the US economy grew by only 2.2% in the quarter, down from the previous estimate of 2.6%. That revision pulled down the year-over-year rate, too. It now turns out that the US economy expanded only 2.9% in 2018.
That’s still its fastest pace since 2015, but not quite as awesome as the president proclaimed.

You're not an economist.

You don't have the education to make this statement.

You don't even have empirical evidence to support this statement.

I do, however.

Nothing in our economy happens by magic or "just because".

Liberal dunce Translation: THE SKY IS FALLING.....THE SKY IS FALLING!!!!

LIE and LAME.

I never said I was "above the fray."

Well, that's what you're putting down.

That's the perception; that you have cast yourself as "above the fray" by issuing a pox on both houses so you can feel superior to those you deem as partisans, so that thoughtful people can take you seriously.

But the problem is thoughtful people see through that charade.

That's why Howard Schulz is getting crapped on, and why he deserves to be crapped on.

You're the ones who passed the Russia Tax Cut that grew the deficit by 88% and created a record monthly deficit last month.
No, "we" passed the AMERICAN Tax REFUND Cut, which should have served to instruct you morons as to exactly how much you pay in taxes
You also predicted 3% growth and that it would pay for itself.
Which has nothing to do with the deficit. You just still have your panties in a twist because your idiot bonus got cut last year. Do your taxes for this year yet? How did you do?

No Republican President in the last 40 years has left office with a smaller deficit than the one they inherited.

No Republican President in the last 40 years has left office with an economy that wasn't either in recession or in dire need of bailout.
Which is an indication of profligate democrat spending that requires periodic reality checks from the adults in the room. Look pinhead, you have at least four 2020 presidential candidates running on free stuff(again), everything from single payer universal(shitty)healthcare to free college for every pimple faced, nose picking moron that can't even spell SAT much less pass the damn test, you got beto who wants to pack the SCOTUS ala roosevelt, and tear down the border wall completely(you can just imagine how much it's gonna cost to take care of the swarm of undocumented democrats that will ensue, AND he wants all the other free shit the rest of you want), then you got Spartacus, who wants all the same shit every other demoron wants, AND just to separate himself from the herd, he wants to talk about reparations. It is quite possible we can never get ahead of this deficit. That is no reason to keep spending like a drunken democrat(I don't use the term "drunken sailor" because sailors eventually run out of money and go home to sleep it off)

If sleazy tactics win votes, get us to buy products or watch tv shows or buy cell phones I don't blame them for continuing to use those tactics. Look at how well they have worked on you to believe everything one side is selling

OMG.

OK, so you first say this:
I did not heap scorn on both sides

Then you say this:
I said they both use the same tactics because they work.

Then you say this:
If sleazy tactics win votes

So you're judging the tactics scornfully (by calling them sleazy) and accuse both sides of doing the same thing. It's a backhanded compliment, which is really a passive insult. Which is really scornful and judgmental.

So this would be an inaccurate statement:
I did not heap scorn on both sides

That is the kind of oppressed victim mentality that convinces voters that their side is going to change all that because they are the good guys and underdogs and going to take back America from the evil forces.

Well, the difference is that the Democratic Party has enacted change that has actually helped people; from Social Security to Medicare to Civil Rights to Voting Rights to Labor Rights to Abortion Rights to LGBTQ+ rights to Obamacare to S-CHIP.

What have Republicans done? The Iraq War, Medicare Part-D, the two largest bailouts of all time (S&L's in the 80's, TARP in the 00's), and the worst economic disasters in the country's history (Great Depression, Great Recession).

There is a clearly defined difference between the both parties, and your subjective judgment of their tactics doesn't change the record.

None of my posts have done anything to defend conservatives

By equating them with liberals you are defending them.

You're rewarding their bad faith by drawing a false equivalence.

If at this point you cannot discern the merits of Conservatism vs. liberalism, then it's an active choice not to.

We are still waiting for links or pictures about people stapling teabags to their faces. Show us that "proof."

Oh for fuck's sake Flash, you know that's a hyperbole.

Though, it wouldn't surprise me if at least one of them did do that...

A person does not have to be on a pedestal to observe reality and read the angry posts spewing hatred

"Bothsiderism" is far more insidious and dangerous to democracy than saying mean things to Conservative liars on social media.

Publicity methods and campaigning are not done by the two parties but by campaign consultants they hire to win elections. Look at some of the websites of these firms--they list their winning records like a football coach. These are the methods used by the two parties.

Which has nothing to do with the failure of Conservative policy after ten years of unabashed teabaggery.

The policies proposed by the parties have different elements--some good and some bad--which is not the same as the methods they use to win election and attract supporters.

So both sides are the same in that both sides have some ambiguous good and some ambiguous bad, but ultimately they're the same because they use the same tactics that you subjectively judge.

So why have you been arguing with me that you don't argue "Bothsiderism" when that's all you're arguing?

And whether these policy elements are good or bad depends on individual opinion

Wait - how can you have an opinion on whether 2.88% is more than 2.85%?

How is it an opinion that last month saw the largest monthly federal deficit ever?

How is it an opinion that the Russia Tax Cut reduced revenues by 2% last year, while expanding the deficit by 25%?

These aren't opinions, these are facts.

These are facts that speak directly to Conservative policy because they are the result of Conservative policy.

I know you really, really don't want to judge policy, you just want to judge ambiguous tactics because it's easier to maintain "Bothsiderism" for the benefit of no one who cares or matters.

We are still waiting to see pictures or links to people stapling teabags to their faces.

And what do tea bags have to do with simplistic black and white categorizations of all things political?

Who is "we"?
Every single poster on this thread knew that LV246 was using artistic license and metaphor....
And we all know exactly what LV246 was referring to.

I thought Kavanaugh's decision about the Arkansas prisoner who was executed was wrong but the same issue with the Texas prisoner (religion cases) was good. Of course, there were different issues that determined each case.

This has nothing to do with Conservatives teabagging over deficits since 2009 only to stop once they passed their massive Russia Tax Cut that produced the largest monthly deficit ever.

Not of the last 10 years, or the last 100 years...EVER.

Last month saw the largest deficit EVER solely because of the Russia Tax Cut.

So the people who supported the Russia Tax Cut were the same people worked up into a teabag frothiness over deficits 10 years ago.

No, "we" passed the AMERICAN Tax REFUND Cut, which should have served to instruct you morons as to exactly how much you pay in taxe

The Russia Tax Cut created the largest monthly federal deficit of all time.

The Trump Conservative Tariffs created the largest trade deficit of all time.

Conservatives hold the records for largest trade deficit, largest monthly deficit, largest FY deficit, largest annual deficit.

You set all those records this century, and two of them in the last 30 days.

Own that shit.

No, it has to do with the Russia Tax Cut you all said would create at least 3% growth.

Last year, you managed GDP growth of 2.85% while growing the deficit by 25%.

Obama did it better in 2015; in that year, he had 2.88% and he reduced the deficit...and he did it without a tax cut.

as globalist, why do you care about trade deficits?
