GOP is dead: Repub strategist stunned by reception to Trump’s ‘unhinged’ CPAC rant

Well it is clear nobody is going to figure this out. So I guess I have to spoon feed the unthinking again

Like Steve Schmidt and Nicole Wallace, Rick Tyler is not a SUCCESSFUL Republican strategist in that his strategies and communications has never led someone to win the Presidency.

So why should I trust anything he says when he doesn’t know how to win?

sigh.

I though this was going to be something good - instead you proved to be a chump that treats the presidency like it's the king of England.

we have three separate but equal branches - but in your feeble mind - the only election that matters is the president. Anyone involved in any other successful campaign is meaningless to you

yep - you are a Trump supporter through and through. your guy won, congrats. King Trump makes you sleep very well at night, no?

GOP is dead: Repub strategist stunned by reception to Trump’s ‘unhinged’ CPAC rant

Appearing on MSNBC with host Alex Witt, GOP strategist Rick Tyler was visibly upset at what he heard from Donald Trump during his speech at CPAC, and even more so by the enthusiastic reception the president was receiving.

It is Trump's party now.

Conservatism = Trumpism.

Trumpism = Conservatism.

I plan on spending years to come reminding conservatives that, almost to a man, they cheered Trump, supported Trump, defended Trump, worshipped Trump, and provided cover to Trump. They made Trump the most popular and beloved Conservative Republican politician of the modern era.

Agreed. It does rile up his base though.
Think about this.. did hrc, e.g., ever do anything to get her base excited? Not much as far as political instincts there.

No, not that I saw... I was shocked how badly it was ran...

But then she probably assumed, like most, that all she had to do was show up & get her crown...

Sadly I don't see most of that party moving very far from her mistakes...

The devolution of the GOP started with Barry Goldwater, continued through Nixon, then to Reagan/Bush the Elder, then to Bush the Dumber, then to Trump.

Goldwater is the great-grandfather of Conservatism; he was the first in that party to frame his inherent racism as Constitutionalism. No one believes Goldwater opposed Civil Rights because of the Constitution; he opposed Civil Rights because he was a racist piece of shit.

I would add some cred to the tea party for paving the way in hate & selfishness as well as dumbing down a sizable portion of the electorate allowing a two bit con man & his russian friends to collude his ass into the white house.......

Without Palin, there is no teabag. Without Bush, there is no Palin. Without Reagan, there is no Bush. Without Nixon, there is no Reagan. Without Goldwater, there's no Nixon.

"I won on a technicality" is the classiest boast ever.

the constitution is a technicality to you friktards :rofl2:

the cubs finally won the world series on a technicality. They didn't score more runs in the series. those damn technicalities :rofl2:

Shocked? Really? I can't see how she could've run a good campaign. A relic from the '90's, tons of baggage, no new ideas. On top of that she was never a good campaigner with all the pandering and fake accents.

Depends on who they nominate. Bernie and hrc obviously don't like each other. He actually gets his base excited. Her, not. If I were a dem I'd want her to go far, far away, but she keeps showing up like the family member that you can't stand having around.

Yes.... IMHO she totally ignored the working class & religious groups, I guess taking the working class votes for granted & totally writing off the religious organizations...

What became known as identity politics was her key & she thought she had the votes, so why stress??

I believe that alienated some ppl & she really offered little to that middle class looking to regain their outsourced livelyhood..

trump offered them something & the rest is history........:dunno:

MSNBC and CNN didn't even televise the president's speech. They televised a speech by the poor sap and loser, Bernie.

They didn't televise a speech by a sitting president in favor of a loser in the last presidential primary.

I saw most of it and if they cut it, it would be doing him a favor. It was nuts.

She was up over 8 pts when Comey gave that press conference. For making him president, Trump fired Comey. Not much of a thank you.

just heard on MSNBC - Trumps crazed rant at CPAC was 200,000 words long (2 hrs) and contained 104 known lies

well he's up to over 9,000 lies latest count so that makes sense
