Appearing on MSNBC with host Alex Witt, GOP strategist Rick Tyler was visibly upset at what he heard from Donald Trump during his speech at CPAC, and even more so by the enthusiastic reception the president was receiving.

“It’s interesting about CPAC,” Tyler began. “It used to be the confab of conservatives who would get together once a year but it’s not CPAC anymore — it hasn’t been since 2016. It’s now Trump-pac and should be TPAC.”

“The people there talk about being pro-tariffs, anti-justice, anti-law enforcement, anti-immigrant, anti-Muslim, pro-Russia, pro-autocrat,” he continued. “It’s unrecognizable what Donald Trump has done to the party and what he’s done to the conservative movement — it’s a shame.”

Asked by host Witt, “What can be done to resurrect the Republican Party as it was — or is that gone?” Tyler said the party is dead.

“Rest in peace,” he lamented. “No, it’s over. The problem is that the Republican Party has no grounding governing philosophy anymore because they’ve signed on to all these things as I just mentioned that were antithetical to the conservative movement.”

“So it’s the Trump party,” he conceded. “When Trump passes on, one way or the other, the party will no longer exist and the Republican party will have — it has no fundamental belief. You have to believe in something, and I don’t know what the Republican Party believes in or what its message is anymore.”

MSNBC and CNN didn't even televise the president's speech. They televised a speech by the poor sap and loser, Bernie.

They didn't televise a speech by a sitting president in favor of a loser in the last presidential primary.

For many years now...the base of the Republican Party has been edging lower and lower...attracting the filth of our nation in order to inflate its numbers.

Now, Donald Trump has revealed it to be willing to accommodate and endorse people even filthier.

The Republican Party truly is dead...and that is a shame. The best of all possible political worlds for America (and by extension, the rest of the world) would be with the more progressive element in control...and with the conservative faction acting as a necessary and reasonable brake to the excesses that might arise...to be the loyal opposition.

They've chosen instead to become the scum of humanity.

Their final decent act should be to keep their promise to make America great again...by going out of business...and allowing a new party to develop to be that LOYAL opposition.

Like Steve Schmidt and Nicole Wallace, Rick Tyler is not a SUCCESSFUL Republican strategist in that his strategies and communications has never led someone to win the Presidency.

So why should I trust anything he says when he doesn’t know how to win?

The Democratic Party as we knew it is dead too. Anti-first amendment, anti-free market economy, neocon pro war pols are highly visible in the party now.
Times have changed.
