Shutdown over a lie!

If Mexico paid for the wall, Where is the money? Why should the government be shut down?

Simple minds are so hard to reach, can you think outside of the box that CNN has you stuffed into?
We have tariffed Mexican goods so much their heads are spinning, and they have no recourse, no one else will buy their $hit from them, they really have no choice. it's like economics 101.
trump sees this as a childs game in dealing with not only Mexico, but China and beyond. It's what he does.

So the money has flowed into American businesses and consumers pockets, where it should be.
He is asking for 5 billion to flow into more American businesses and laborers pockets, as a symbolism. Look at it as an infrastructure project that you keep babbling about if it makes you feel better.
His "Mexico will pay for the wall" was a metaphor. Only an idiot would think that he meant Mexico was actually going to write a check.
tell me nut-bag, were you expecting to see a check with "border wall" written in the memo. :rofl2:
I simply can not deal with the level of stupidity coming out of you guys anymore, it is just not healthy to engage and expect conversation.

What a pathetic bunch of tortured logic...just to defend this abomination, Getin???

C'mon. You are better than this.

You might note, by the way...that a lot of economists say that almost the only substantive change in NAFTA...is its name. The other changes were even more cosmetic...with some increasing benefits on the US...and some increasing benefits for Mexico...but amounting to a wash.

I do agree that only an idiot would think he meant Mexico was actually going to write a check. IN FACT...ONLY AN IDIOT WOULD THINK MEXICO WAS ACTUALLY GOING TO PAY FOR IT.

But...Trump was talking to idiots when he made those promises...and the idiots cheered.

So you continue to insult the 306

bravo,
and good luck in 2020

We want a wall, we won
the house of representatives sent over a bill to the Senate providing 5 billion for the wall, and 50 men and women think they are above the will of the people

best of luck with that strategy

Full control of both houses of congress and the White House for 2 full years...

...and cannot get this done.

Even had a deal better than the one currently on the table...and the abomination turned it down.

You poor suckers.

He's got you on a leash!

So Mexico paid for a wall, and that money is in rich peoples hands? Silly. If Mexico pay for the wall the money would be in the US treasury. If Mexico had paid for a wall, the money would’ve come from the Mexican treasury.

The “will of the people” elected those 50 members of Congress.

The government is shutdown over making the taxpayer pay for something the president promised Mexico would pay for... think about how ridiculous that is...

His CULT would forgive him shutting down the government if he made any vapid BS promise about anyone else paying for it! Putin, Merkel, "LIL Kim", Jeff Bezos....Pick a name.

The democrat party has shut down the government over 0.001% of the federal budget.

Think about how ridiculous that is

Econ 101. Tariffs are paid by the consumer, not the country who produces the product. The producer country is hurt by increased prices driving down demand.

Where do you think we got $5 billion in tariffs from Mexico? The US imported less than $2 billion in Steel and Aluminum from Mexico in the last 6 months. What other products had tariffs?

I know math can be hard but if the wall costs $50 billion dollars and Mexico has paid for it 4 times already, where can I see this $200 billion in economic changes in Mexico/US relations? We had a $71 billion trade deficit with Mexico last year. Are you alleging we will have a $271 billion surplus this year? At the end of October we had a $67 billion deficit. If it continues for the last 2 months of the year our deficit with Mexico will actually be higher this year.

campaign rhetoric is is not at all binding, and is a silly way to look at any issue.

Walls work - the world has been building them at a rapid pace since 2000.
whatever costs involved by taxpayers are more then made up in not having illegal entry and catch and release.

Or cop killers, or Kate Steinle etc.

I have been working and sleeping for the last few days, so I must have missed this. So please explain, is it now the Trumpsters alternate fact reality that the Mexicans have already paid for the wall?

You are fucking up a perfectly good pretend justification with all this common sense stuff, Richard.

they hate math

that is why they trust the short bus school called the Austrian school of economics

they try to do economics WITHOUT MATH

can get much fucking dumber than that

INSANE

about 40% of Americans back the POTUS. When he ran in the nomination I thought surely about 5% of Repubs would fall for the craziness. This is very disappointing. I have come to the conclusion just less than 1/2 of Americans are INSANE.
