Look Wacko you're really going wide on my point here. The GOP, in terms of sheer numbers of voters, largest single demographic has become working class white voters over the last 40 years. Something the GOP has never had before in its history. Trump swept the GOP back into power with his populist white working class rhetoric...not the standard Free Trade, No taxes rhetoric. These white working class voters now control the heirarchy of the GOP and not your Chamber or Commerce types who used to.
How can you be surprised at this change in the Republican party? The fact that the Democratic party still uses pro labor rhetoric to attract those votes isn't relevant.
What is relevant is that the GOP is now politically dominated by the white working class voters who bought into Trumps rhetoric. This has been in the making for decades now. Trump was just the first one in the GOP to have the balls to use economic populism to gain the support of working class whites en-mass.
What are you disagreeing with then that I posted in the OP?
