Kavanaugh should step down.

Meh, I’m not buying any of that lol.

If Kavanaugh came off cool and calculated he’d be ‘a cold hearted liar’.

I disagree. If he came off cool and calculated, he'd have looked like a judge. Yesterday's meltdown makes it clear he's in the wrong line of work.

Democrats own every bit of what happened yesterday

Ford is the reason for what happened yesterday. She had the courage to face the right-wing smear machine and then testified with grace and dignity. Republicans are just whining that their Democratic colleagues didn't step aside and let them railroad this through before she had that chance.

They even managed to get Lindsey Graham’s dander up.

Graham is perpetually in a state of faux moral outrage. Getting his dander up is as hard as stepping in his light when he's doing one of his Sunday shows.

I'd expect him to react reasonably.

He did you lying twit. He went beyond reasonable. He had to hold back when Democrats bloviated utter stupid nonsense in a vacuum of facts or reality. It takes a lot of self control to not laugh at morons.

If he knows he's innocent, then the ones who have wronged him here are Ford and the other two women who say otherwise.

You pathetic moron, he is innocent. So after this is all over and, hopefully, he is seated on the court; how does he get his reputation back after the despicable smears, innuendo and specious claims no one can substantiate and that has been refuted by the very people who were supposed to have been there?

Don't answer that, you lack the honesty, the intelligence and character to respond honestly and intelligently.

He cried when they asked him about details and pushed an FBI investigation, he acted like a man who didn’t want the truth to come out. His anger reflected a man who is use to being in control and he wasn’t.

DiFi is the reason yesterday happened.

Stop the lying already

What lie do you think I told, in particular, and what evidence do you see that it's a lie?

The notion that we should ruin a man's career, drag his name through the mud and embarrass him in front of his family, his peers and his friends for something imagined and uncorroborated when he was in high school requires the willing suspension of one's intellect

What if it happened? What if, as she has testified under oath, she distinctly remembers him pinning her down, trying to remove her clothes, and covering her mouth to keep her from continuing to yell? Should she have kept silent about it, so that he could get his big promotion, and to protect his family, peers, and friends from knowing what kind of person he really is?

He cried when they asked him about details and pushed an FBI investigation, he acted like a man who didn’t want the truth to come out. His anger reflected a man who is use to being in control and he wasn’t.

Yeah, and if he would have been cool hand Luke you’d say he was too cold and calculated.

Your mind was made up the day letter came out. Even though DiFi released it only when Kavanaugh’s nomination seemed inevitable.

Have I said this is terrible optics for the democrats yet?

Hello tsuke,

before this started Trump was at -13 to - 12 in RCP now he is at -9. So this is probably helping him.

That's very troubling. I struggle to understand how good people can ignore credible testimony and disregard the victims of sexual assault. And to support a rush to seat a lifetime position with no investigation.

Judge Kavanaugh said this testimony had destroyed his family and credibility.

It could only do that if it were true.

Their calm controlled questioning? Compared to the GOP drama club, you make me laugh.

What do you think the Democrats should have done, when faced with serious sexual misconduct allegations from a credible woman willing to testify about her experience? Do you think their job was to join the Republicans in ramming this nomination through? They let her tell her story and then they did their job and asked questions of both people. This, for some reason, has caused right-wingers, including the emotionally unhinged Kavanaugh himself, to go apoplectic.

Are you serious? Have you not been listening and watching? Are you being deliberately stupid or dishonest? There is a process. Feinstein would have immediately brought it to the Judicial Committee chair in private. They could have held confidential hearings to determine the merits of the claim and interviewed ALL the witnesses, accuser and Kavanaugh behind closed doors to determine the facts.

You don't keep the information under wraps and then leak it to the media and have a circus in the senate chambers. That's despicable. As has been stated a thousand times, but you're too dishonest to acknowledge, this was unfair to the accuser AND to Kavanaugh. But even more so, Kavanaugh because he was dragged through the mud by a dishonest media who couldn't print enough salacious bullshit about this man.

The goal was OBVIOUS here; anyone who would undergo such despicable unethical bullshit would have thrown in the towel. However, Kavanaugh, much like his President, isn't the kind to let Brown Shirted thugs on the left to lie and bully him into giving up.

The morons on the left and the Party of the Jackass are playing a very dangerous, despicable political game; unfortunately for America, liberals lack the character and the mental acuity to comprehend the OBVIOUS.

DiFi is the reason yesterday happened.

The Democrats surely deserve credit for standing up for her right to tell her story. That they managed to get this hearing even in the face of a Republican majority and a desire by nearly all the Republicans to rail-road this through before the allegations came out, really says something. I can be hard on the Democrats, sometimes, because they're so ineffectual, but this time they took a stand for what is right, and managed to make it politically untenable for the Republicans to push things through without a hearing. That's a credit to their leadership. Decent people everywhere are applauding them.

Hello anatta,

he "got all defensive" about being called a rapist? gee I can't understand why.

I can only conclude it is because the testimony is true, and it is very hurtful to him to suppress what he is trying to keep buried, but won't stay down.

BTW..........WHERE IS MARK JUDGE???

note Kav and the asshole GOP douchbags are hiding that fuck, don't even recognize his name

run traitors run

Balls are something the Supreme Court never lacks for. What we need are people with strong enough minds to rule impartially. Putting an emotional child like Kavanaugh on the bench would be a big mistake, even setting aside his likely history as a sexual predator. We can do better.

Hello Darth,

It’s apparently difficult for you to imagine the man is innocent.

Assume he was for a moment. How would you expect him to react after being accused of vile conduct in front of his wife and kids?

I would expect him to act as if he had zero connection to the story, and that he has nothing to worry about because he knows he is innocent. Instead, he acted guilty, nervous, as if he can throw a little tantrum and make it go away.

He cried when they asked him about details and pushed an FBI investigation, he acted like a man who didn’t want the truth to come out. His anger reflected a man who is use to being in control and he wasn’t.

Another massive pile of dishonest bullshit. Let's face it, leftists couldn't comprehend honesty or a man telling the truth if it slapped them in their unethical faces. I wish you leftists were forced to look into his mothers eyes while your despicable representatives hurled their unethical lies at this man.

But then, you're nothing better than a bunch of Brown Shirted thugs who conveniently demonize those who don't agree with you because like the Nazi's did with the Jews, or the Roman's with their slaves, it makes it easier to destroy them.

No. As you'll recall, he yelled, cried, and vented his paranoia. That's the opposite of behaving reasonably. He was a complete emotional wreck right from the very start of his testimony. He was like a clinic in "how not to act like a judge."

he is innocent

Neither of us knows whether this allegation is true, much less the other two. You just assume he didn't do any of those things because, for strictly political reasons, you want him on the court. But whether he did them or not, he showed himself to be unqualified to be a judge. He lacks rationality and self control.

how does he get his reputation back after the despicable smears, innuendo and specious claims no one can substantiate and that has been refuted by the very people who were supposed to have been there?

I'd turn that around and ask the same thing about Ford. If what she is saying happened, then all those who claim it didn't are attacking her reputation -- saying that she is a perjurer and slanderer, who for some unknown reason invented a terrible story about an old acquaintance. How does she get her reputation back after those despicable smears launched against her?

I'm sure it looks that way from the perspective of those whose universe is composed only of the right-wing echo chamber. But out here in the real world, her testimony was very widely positively received.

Ironic coming form a dishonest hack whose universe is composed only of the right-wing echo chamber. STFU, seriously you pathetic hypocrite.

Real world? The one that has destroyed a good man with spurious claims in defense of Roe vs. Wade? STFU moron.
