Trump news conference performance 'nothing short of treasonous'

IIRC, giving aid and comfort to one's enemy.
I am quite sure that Vlad was comforted by Trump's words

Not only that, but Trumps tariffs have increased the financial market of Russia from the sale of oil, increased the sale of their soybeans to China fourfold, increased our inflation rate to 3%, and the list goes on.

And what have we gotten for it aside from Trump being exempted from the tariffs?

“President Trump’s decision to side with Putin over American intelligence agencies is disgraceful and detrimental to our democratic principles. Russia remains our number one geopolitical adversary; claiming a moral equivalence between the United States and Russia not only defies reason and history, it undermines our national integrity and impairs our global credibility,”
- Mitt Romney

President Trump must clarify his statements in Helsinki on our intelligence system and Putin. It is the most serious mistake of his presidency and must be corrected—-immediately.

"Treason against the United States shall consist only in levying war against them, or in adhering to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort."

We are giving sanctions to Russia, not comfort.

You’re mostly right about the first part lol.

So, Trump split the difference on Russian meddling. I frankly don’t care what he said about it—even if he didn’t say anything. I’m that sick of hearing about it.

Putin should admit to meddling then offer to not meddle in the future for some concessions. The meddling had no discernible effect so it wouldn’t be like he’s giving up much.

Nothing Putin says can be trusted, NOTHING.

I never thought I would see the day when an American president would side with a Russian dictator over our own intelligence agencies.

Me either. And I never thought I'd see the day when repubs would call Obama's foreign visits an "apology tour" while supporting the diapered blimp trashing our agencies.

I have to stop telling myself "he can't go any lower than this" after the latest trump debacle because he proves over and over that there's no bottom for him.

"Diapered blimp"....Ha!

I guess I have to remind myself, these are the exact same rightwingers who have never, ever, admitted that their Iraq War was a catastrophic mistake, nor expressed the slightest remorse for it. So, I guess I cannot say I am surprised that they will support and defend the Orange Blimp's treason and ineptitude at all costs to their integrity and self-respect.

But there is a bottom!
The question is how far,and how many hit bottom, with this evil, evil man.

Ok lol.

So why waste time asking him?

You know, maybe if the IC had ROCK SOLID evidence that the Russians meddled, Trump wouldn’t be equivocal about it. Different authorities referring back to one another is not evidence. The primary piece of evidence in the whole affair is the DNC server and the FBI didn’t look at it.

And I’ve been yelping about that since I’ve heard about it.

So when Trump equivocates with Putin on it—well, maybe I don’t blame him for it. The investigation has been half-cocked from the get-go.
