Or 2 or 3. Look. I went to Catholic schools and was fed the same shit you were. I asked questions when they were laying thick layers of bible crap on my kid brain. They had no answers, just like you don't. They said just believe it and accept what we tell you. I was super religious and slowly pulled away. then I resented that they used fear to try and move me.That hell stuff had me laughing after awhile. They talked about the horrors and the fire and pain . When they said, the fires of hell shed no light, I laughed out loud, because it was obvious crap . Where did they come up with that? Someone went and came back and told them? I saw it was a cruel and outrageous attempt to terrify kids. I saw the game. It was always a game . It is a business that is just about money and power.

That's not something restricted to primitive people. Some of you are STILL clinging to mythology to explain what you don't understand. Filling in the gaps of things we yet don't have an answer for as "God did it" can't get any more primitive. At least our early ancestors had an excuse...no Google. ;)

The Bible stories are important because they are teaching narrative... but they should not be taken as science or history. The message that is repeated over and over again is redemption.

The fundamentalists drive a lot of people away from faith.

The universe isn’t somehow ‘less scientific’ if God created it lol.

Granted, the creative event itself would lie beyond science but the rest of the universe would be amenable to science. In fact, a universe that is the product of an infinite mind would be MORE ‘scientific’ because all the physical laws and constants would ultimately be based in rationality.

And what do we find?

Patterns, mathematical symmetry in the laws and constants. All the planets, asteroids and comets obey Newtonian physics which causes them to be as predictable as any Swiss watch.

All of the physical constants are fined tuned to such an extent that if any of them varied a tiny a bit I wouldn’t be sitting here typing this.

Biology is infused with rationality and it is more scientific on account of it. DNA functions exactly like computer code—except that ours is primitive by comparison. All cellular structures and events proceed in strict accordance with a *rational* code contained in the DNA molecule.

I would argue the universe is MORE scientific if it the product of an infinite mind.

Good lord you don’t have the first clue what you’re talking about. DNA is not a language like a computer language. It’s a self replicating molecule that provides instructions to other molecules the sequence by which amino acids are assembled into proteins. Mutations do not destroy DNA, what nonsense, mutations are changes in the base pairings of a sequence of DNA that proscribe how a specific set of proteins are constructed.

That’s not how you handle a pseudoscientist Nord. Much of science is counterintuitive and doesn’t make sense. In this case you need to only request that he provide you empirical evidence of a creator that you can independently verify. Then walk away knowing that it’s highly unlikely that your request will be honored.

Everybody believes that evolution is an evidence-based explanation for the lifeforms that currently exist today. Nobody still believes in creationism and Adam and Eve just like nobody still believes that the Earth is flat or that early man walked with dinosaurs. Only uneducated idiots still believe that.

Agree, with one exception. We don't "believe in" evolution because evolution is not a religion or other belief system with no basis in reality. I'd rather say "we accept as reality" that evolution is an evidence-based explanation for the lifeforms that currently exist.

the concept of infinite doesn't prove anything. Infinite eliminates any issue as to a first cause, just as does a complete chain. As to mutations destroying dna, I don't know what he is thnking
except maybe about free radicals and cancers. How he thinks this disproves evolution is anyone's guess. This ugly truth guy is obviously a lunatic turbo fundie archetype.
