It's not simple and your target is probably too broad for this to gain any traction.

The chance that this could be passed by Congress is virtually zero.

Your solution burdens/restricts the law abiding. If you actually want to do something, other than grandstand, i would suggest something more modest. The gvro mentioned in another thread is much more viable.

The AR in “AR-15” rifle stands for ArmaLite rifle.....the AR 15 just looks like an assault rifle...it don't work like a typical military assault weapon...

I agree that kits manufactured to modify any rifle to work like a military assault weapon should be illegal.....same goes for bump stocks...
If the law you want was in place this nut would not have able to simply buy the gun in a gun shop, true.....he actually had several 'mean looking' weapons, none were real assault weapons....

Quite simply, if the FBI and/or local police would have done the jobs, the murders would have happened in the first place and all this talk about changing gun laws wouldn't even be taking place....

He shot 150 rounds,killed 17 wound many others,was in the building a mere 6min.He had a weapon of war.

I am sorry that AR15s are scary looking for you. Nobody is forcing you to buy one. The sad fact remains that he could have caused as much destruction with other types of guns, that he chose an AR15 is irrelevant.

that is nothing more than your opinion. it's about as foolish as the one I heard that those weapons can be owned as long as they are locked up in a state armory. that way if they are ever needed to fight the government, we can just check them out from the government.........

the 2nd Amendment is there to keep ALL government in check, so yes, weapons of war are most definitely needed.

we use guns to protect politicians, money, valuables, and government, but you don't want guns to protect our kids.........talk about being a sick motherfucker.
