This is the age old debate. If your skill level only allows you to earn $11/hr what should be done? Should the gov't force companies to pay people more than their worth? And not everyone who works at Walmart is a full time sole bread earner for their family.

And I'm not saying this out of lack of compassion for people I'm saying it because this is how market economies work.

Who knows? That wasn't our discussion. Again, people who need to address health concerns can go to their State Health Departments in every county in the nation and pay on a sliding scale. They also provide FREE birth control products to ANYone.

Walmart is also closing 60+ Sam’s Clubs and laying off thousands of workers.
The last two years they have spent billions of dollars in stock buy back to increase stock values.
This to me is a ploy to keep their precious tax cuts!

In fact most Walmart employees collect food stamps.
 
It's a business making business decisions. Some will become e-commerce distribution centers. Some employees would be re-hired at other Walmart locations or at the newly created e-commerce distribution sites.

So what? Some work full time, some work part time. What's to moan about if they get some kind of income, food stamps and State-provided healthcare plus keep their babies? If part-time isn't enough for them at Wallyworld, then they can go grab another part time job, too.
