walmart raising minimum wage to 11$ per hour

I'm already aware that beginning in 2014, ACA caused a huge increase in the costs of the plans. And, that all people ANYwhere can always use the sliding scale services of their local State Health Departments.

The point is that you lied

I have an '01 Honda Civic, paid for since 2008.
Since 2005 I have stuck with the same basic weekly menu. 4 nights a week is Ramen noodle soup with a huge salad (romaine, spinach, kale, tomato, green beans, olives, pepperoncini's) with a can of tuna mixed into it. 1 night is chicken/rice/veggies, 1 night is ground beef/potatoes/veggies and Sunday night is a traditional English breakfast (eggs, Philadelphia scrapple, grilled tomato, grilled mushrooms, beans and toast).
Breakfast is either oatmeal & bananas or a traditional German combination of cold cuts, Muenster cheese and some fruit.

It CAN be done. :)

You rock

Curious if you have numbers of profit per employee and what raising wages would do to it?

I know on the surface it sounds great, you're a big rich company so pay people more. And that appeals well to emotion. But there's a lot more that goes into a business model than arbitrarily picking an amount to pay employees based on revenue.

She'd be the first to moan and groan when prices go up!

I know you say things like this to get a reaction and you do a good job of it. But do alt-right people really believe we should have an all powerful Putin like dictator?

Do all powerful Putin-types deregulate the economy and appoint textualist judges?

Wouldn’t they be more apt to mandate minimum wages?

Can we take a step back from partisanship and agree that workers getting a pay increase FOR ANY REASON is good?

Only if it's a right-wing dictator who promises to smite all the libtards, brown ppl, non-Xtians, and gays. Otherwise, the horror the horror!

Companies hire and fire as well as raise and lower wages all the time. Do we need to be "hailing" our "leader" everytime?

Absolutely. More pay = more spending. More spending = need to create more goods/services to buy. More buying = better economy.

Not at all. If the govt mandates higher pay and a number of people lose their job as a result are we going to say it was worth it for those that did get a raise?

It would be like saying rent control is great because it lets some people stay in their units even though it raises prices for everyone else
