Well one thing will be resolved with the GOP Tax Bill,

Both the House and Senate can stop the budget. It originates in the House. It then works in conjunction with the Senate. It is then signed by the President. With checks and balances in place, you cannot have spending without consent of the three. All three are thus responsible in the good times and bad.

You are dancing around the point. There can be no spending unless a bill is written and passed by the Republican House! It all begins right there.

No, I am not. The House starts it, just as I stated. But there can also be no spending if the Senate doesn't approve it. The President also has veto ability. so unless all three agree or the House/Senate have veto proof majorities... there can be no spending. All three are responsible.

You don't blame Pelosi and the Dems for the spending problems of 2008-2010 do you?

Republicans have constantly and never endingly blamed all spending on the democrats, so admit it just a lie.

As I have stated many times in the past, including on this thread... the national debt has risen every year since Ike in 57. So clearly both parties are responsible for increases.

yes and infrastructure spending is a good thing

giving away everything free to the CEOs is not asshole

it will expose and finally put an end to the conservatives' fraudulent claim that they are so concerned about deficits/debts and how they damage the economy, jeopardize the county's future, our grandchildren, yada yada yada

Proves once again it never had anything to do with ideological beliefs nor economic principles, they just hated the fact Obama was President, you can decide the why but it seems pretty obvious

As I say all the time, Republicans have only one real agenda, plutocracy.

As soon as this passes, you're going to hear a LOT from Republicans about the deficit as they call for spending cuts for the public, including gutting Medicare and Social Security likely.

they may not exsist long

a third party can come along and take the vast majority of their voters

We do need spending cuts. DoD is a good place to start. Social Security is not a big problem, though they should increase the dollar limit on taxation or create a donut hole.

Medicare is going to implode. We cannot continue to see the increases in the health care industry outpace the rest of the economy. We have to address the causes of cost increases. Starting with the overly litigious nature of our society, especially within that sector.

which will be fixed by the Democratic party once your party is reduced to next to nothing.

we will write laws that prevent corps from hinding their money and make them pay real taxes

then we will build this society back up to be the best in the world like it was before your fucks tried to sell it out

Isnt a budget surplus an actual surplus?

No.

If you have a budget where you project your household will bring in revenue of $100k and have expenses of $80k, you have a budgeted surplus of $20k.

If in reality you bring in $100k and spend $110k then you have an actual deficit of $10k.

You have to stick to your budget if you want it to become reality. Otherwise you simply planned well and execution was off (sometimes things happen out of your control, sometimes you were simply off in projections).

You have no clue what you are talking about.
