It's Veteran's day

And my great uncle who died in the trenches in ww1 near Metz, and my uncle who just died who was a marine in Guadalcanal ww2 and dad who is an honorary special forces member as a scientist, and another uncle who passed in navy ww2 and cousin and Vietnam nam marines, and wife's dad in army as linguist in Korea post war, and brother in law who served admirably in a brain surgery residency in Hawaii and to me for my one semester rotc at Fabre college feeding a carrot to a horse.

And remiss to forget the three managers at my old office two of whom were combat vets who don't even get the day off. That sux.

November 11 is Veterans Day. You can say November 10 is Veterans Day over and over. You can scream that November 10 is Veterans Day. You can type NOVEMBER 10 IS VETERANS DAY in all caps. But it's not. November 11 is Veterans Day.

Yeah - but like I said, dopey, today is the day it's OBSERVED by a lot of businesses.

Any way you slice it, it's a silly hairsplit on a thread where we're just thanking the vets. Your biggest priority on a thread like this was finding some goofy, dopey "gotcha" hairsplit. Because you're so triggered all of the time.

I'm of the opinion that McSlobber jumped the gun, and the fact that he didn't refer to the "observation" of Veterans Day by "some businesses" in his thread title or the OP tends to favor my suspicion rather than yours.

Are the soaps good today? Did The View pay a "tribute to the troops"? If so, did you get verklemmt, little Thingy?

Who cares? It's a thread thanking the vets for their service. So friggin' what if he's a day early? Is that a big 'win' for dopey people to call him out on that?

Being triggered makes you totally lose perspective. Either hop on a thread like this to thank vets, or pipe down.

Soy/fem repetitive boredom ain't helping you on this one. And I did have some soy in my coffee this morning, but I don't watch much TV. Sorry 'bout that, dopey.

I don't believe for a second that McSlobber - or you - actually give a flying fuck about veterans, and this thread was a "preemptive" strike to virtue-signal, and take slaps at conservatives and Trump.

Technically tomorrow is Veterans Day, and if you think this thread was started to honor veterans you're as dumb as little Thingy.
