A technique can not be banned. That would be the kind of silliness I would expect from you.
But those techniques have changed the playing field, for what is legal and for what reasons.
The frequency of fire capabilities have changed and now the laws must change as well just to stay where we were.
Everyone understands the distinction by now and most of us always have.
If that old duff could fire at that rate for 100 rounds he would have to be regulated.
