What makes you more upset....

Really? Promoting the loss of citizenship for a non-violent protest action is supporting government action against those you simply disagree with. I'll not be supporting that. And the guy doubled down on it. And it wasn't Truth Detector. Start from the beginning of the conversation, you might be able to participate in the conversation better if you understand where it began.

I'm sorry, I don't see the quote you mentioned. Would you please cite it? I'd be grateful. Thank you.

"The players have all decided that they need to insert themselves into politics" stands out.

There was a list. Taking only a portion of the sentence is quite literally taking something out of context. In a medium where others can go back and read the whole post you become your own worst enemy. Though I'll go ahead and remove all doubt about what I was saying by adding in the assumed part of conversational english for a more detailed approach through editing...

Is this the one?
What is it that makes the people disrespecting the American flag, very good people?

Can't they be very good people in some other country where they can respect the flag?

Ship em out, take a knee lose your citizenship. Kenya and Uganda are hiring park rangers

Yes, in the post TheDonald suggests that government should remove the citizenship of those who protest in a way he thinks is bad. That is the actual purpose of the 1st Amendment. I am simply holding a conversation with TheDonald where I tell him he's not only wrong, but why he is wrong, and why he should think about moving to someplace more totalitarian than the United States.

People who think the government should punish people for not supporting the government are disgusting to me in a visceral way. They have a right to be jackasses without government sticking its nose into it.

People who say such things are bloviating; my focus is on the false premise of the thread topic and their weak stupid efforts to turn everything into a political tirade against Trump.

Yes; the Constitution "trumps" everything and only one powerful political entity wants to shred it.

A fundamental misunderstanding of the first amendment displayed in this post.

I like watching the NFL, when it wasn't politicized it was a unifying force in the US. It no longer is, now it is politicized and the escape from that nonsense and the central conversation that crossed political barriers no longer exists. Unfortunately it isn't as enjoyable any longer.

I don't "boycott" the NFL, I just don't watch any longer because ESPN, the NFL, the players have all decided that they need to insert themselves into politics.

However the "stand or lose citizenship" idiocy. Yeah. Though I dislike their method and the NFL was foolish not to include it in the contracts like the NBA to stand during the Anthem, they have a right to ruin the fun for me as much as they want. I'll fight for their right. Nobody is losing citizenship because you don't like their protest that is what the first amendment is all about.

I don't think it's accurate to say that "all" the players have " decided that they need to insert themselves into politics", is it?

I didn't say all the players. The language has rules.

Yeah, my post was pretty much directly speaking to somebody who promoted government punishment. I wasn't speaking to the OP. I pretty much ignore every tweet-centralized post against Trump. I did notice that the OP actually says opposite what the person wanted though....

Who in government is punishing these spoiled low information millionaires disrespecting our flag?

I quoted a post where the guy I was speaking with said they should lose their citizenship. Are you not paying attention?

I see. It seemed to me that you said you'd quoted someone who was connected with the government when you answered Truth Detector's question.

My mistake. For a minute I wondered if TheDonald was really THE Donald. :rofl2:

Click the little arrow. As I noted. I went ahead and edited out the conversation assumptions and added a more thorough list for your benefit. Since you have decided to go all rainman on us.

The language has rules. If you think my inquiry makes me autistic, I'm sorry you felt offended enough by my question to insult me.

What if people take a knee and say that they are not paying taxes to the US Flag?

Hmmm

Does the first amendment protect that?

That's just silly. It's is worth noting that some liberals claim that what they deem "hate speech" is not protected by the Constitution, for example, the Mayor of Portland:

https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/the-fix/wp/2017/05/30/hate-speech-is-not-protected-by-the-first-amendment-oregon-mayor-says-hes-wrong/?utm_term=.5cda08dd0e35

The whole thing has gotten out of hand. I am all for Kaepernick and his SJW buddies having freedom of speech. If this is how they choose to do it fine, but I think there are more effective ways to do it without alienating others which is what they are doing.

Now the SJW crowd love it because it is their intent for the country to be ripped apart

I also don't think it is the place for the President to weigh in on these things. More than ever I am concerned for our country. Now even something as simple as football which used to bring people together is ripping the country apart.

Is it a bad business model for the NFL? Only time will tell.

Only because a Republican was president.

Your mewling mantra is 'DEMOCRAT good, Republican bad', and that's how shallow you are, Christiecrite.

Clear proof that you haven't been paying attention to all the posts I've made saying I'm anti-war and anti-violence.

You say otherwise? Show it or fold it. :D

You're a condemned hypocrite, Christiecrite, and a proven liar. If you say something, that's a good reason for me to doubt it.
