OPINION: We can’t keep rebuilding flood-ravaged homes

If more people had this kind of civic responsibility, compassion and common sense, this world would be great place.

CA voted to raise taxes to help those in need just as covfefe suggested.

Thanks for acknowledging CA is making the world a great place.

Glad to see you posting. I take that as you are ok? Hope you and your family didn't have to endure to much financial pain.......

but rest assure, as always, CA will be there to the rescue:-)
Hahahaha. Touche!

I'm good. No damage, only lost power for less than a day.

Good. Same with my brother. Can't wait tell he leaves that gawd forsaken place.

Remember when dump pocketed millions in hurricane insurance for Mar-a-Lago damage that never happened?

:rofl2: Glad he's ok. He and I are very lucky.

And no, I don't know anything about the Mara-lago thing....

Well, here's your homework for the day. Look it up.

He's a fraud and had your state not given him so much money, they'd have enough to at least start rebuilding the infrastructure to help avoid a lot of the flooding.

Just saying.

Not quite sure where you got that out of what I posted. When did CA vote to raise taxes to pay for natural disasters instead of relying on federal government assistance? I must have missed that.

Each state should pay for their own natural disasters. But the racist redneck states don't collect enough in taxes because they don't want to help Blacks and Mexicans, so they never have enough money to help it's citizens when natural disasters occur, (unless your Donald Trump). So CA comes to the rescue.

But that's not what I was saying.

We VOTE pay enough in taxes to cover for our natural disasters, amongst other thing and to help fucked up redneck racist states.

Your question lets me know you know fuckall about CA or what our taxes go to.

"If more people had this kind of civic responsibility, compassion and common sense, this world would be great place".

We have this in CA. When will your state come aboard?

Really? Then why does CA always ask for and get federal disaster assistance when something happens? I will not even get into (yet) that CA gets more in federal benefits than it pays in taxes. But please, make your point.

Interesting that we supposedly pay enough in taxes for our natural disasters yet still ask the federal gov't for money. Here's a half billion dollars we received this year for storm damage.

Here is another article from the SACBEE that is an eye opener. http://www.sacbee.com/site-services/databases/article133246624.html

I am not putting down CA and its need sometimes for disaster relief. The same for any state. But when a person of one state tries to belittle someone from another or tries to sling bullshit, well, it has to be addressed.

We tax more in CA but that doesn't mean we have this pot of gold tucked away. We have all kinds of unfunded debt. So this idea that we somehow take care of ourselves is a false one.

Not just you west coast.....it is an epidemic in this country.

My point has been made.

And if you think CA gets more federal aid than Kentucky, then we no longer need to have this conversation.

No it has not. Try again please, with some documentation.

There is nothing I can document that will make you call uncle.

What I will document is this:

"If more people had this kind of civic responsibility, compassion and common sense, this world would be great place".

We have this in CA........when will your state come aboard?
