You would have to study U.S election laws. I do know that going directly to the Russians, as trump did, is illegal. Why else do you think 'Lil trump' lied so many times about who was at the meeting?

Technically, a trump business associate came to 'Lil trump' via Rob Goldstone, promising dirt on Clinton. trump was happy to solicit any information they had from 'the Russian govt.' re Hillary.
