Trump to scrap protection for 'Dreamers,' give Congress six months to fix

It sure seems like liberal law-breaker lovers are woefully or willfully ignorant of what DACA is.

Cartoon Ken thinks DACA was a "promise".

It ain't.

Individuals should only apply after consulting with a qualified attorney. If an individual is here unlawfully and USCIS or ICE finds that they do not meet the criteria for deferred action, they may be placed in removal proceedings. Additionally, even if they are granted deferred action, the status is completely discretionary and can be revoked in the future.

Trump's base: aka your political allies, the people you stand with:

I am Trump's base. I stand with Trump.

You seem to be under the impression that DACA is a permanent protection against deportation or a guarantee of citizenship.

It is not.

Do you know what the D in DACA stands for?

I'll wait.

So your solution to an unsustainable scheme is to break the law?

Kudos sir. You are officially a liberal now

My solution would have been immigration reform a long time ago.

The DACA issue is a tough one because many of these people were little kids when their parents illegally entered the country and they've grown up here. Citizenship doesn't have to be the end game but deporting all of them isn't going to happen either.

Based on how Republicans have responded in national polls to this issue if this is the litmist test for being a Republican or conservative than those numbers are severely shrinking.

And the economics of S.S. are what they are. Do you believe there are enough workers in the country today to pay all the baby boomers the money they are expecting?

I'm surprised nobody has picked up on that if he does what is being reported, DACA will official end in April, most of the mid term primary voting is in May. Trump has given our reps 6 month to show us voters where their loyalties lie: with Americans or with those people not authorized to be here.

Please elaborate on this reform you desire.

I don't give a flying fuck how they got here. You are using a liberal emotional argument. Would you let a child keep a stolen item because they didn't know their daddy stole it?

As for SS? Time to means test it and cut benefits. You seem to think the only solution is indentured servitude.

Don't forget to virtue signal your hatred of racism

You won't see the irony, but it is cute

I have picked up on it. I already posted about it. Trump has put McCuntell and Ryan in a box.

This a brilliant political move by Trump.

And the only way this passes is with demalquedacrats voting for it. Which will

1) piss off their Antifa supporters for working with Republicans
2) put vulnerable demalquedacrats in a pickle

TBH, I figured you and maybe 1 or 2 others would have picked up on it. Breezed through the first 9 pages looking to see if anybody did, must have missed your comment.

just found this bit. He knows how many illegal aliens he has and has done nothing about it???

You are still upset that I said twice that I hate Nazi's.

Here's a good report from CATO on the economics involved with DACA both in terms of cost to deport and lost economic activity.

Know what happened last time the DREAM Act went to the House?

It lost.

And that was with The Obama infesting the Oval Office.

Liberal lovers of the lawless have tried and failed many times to pass this law.

It has lost every single time since 2001.

Why does anyone think they can succeed this time?

That rationale doesn't wash. If someone is here ILLEGALLY, why would they be permitted to step in front of everyone else and serve in the military?

Looks like I was right.

The United States military faced challenges in enlistment, which in 2005 were described as a "crisis", though the economic downturn of 2007-2010 did away with many of the enlistment challenges. Immigrants without a United States Permanent Resident Card (also known as a green card) are not allowed to enlist. In 2007, several senior officials at the Department of Defense have spoken in favor of promising resident status to members of the military as a means of boosting recruitment.

It's legal if Congress sez it's legal -otherwise it's not.. Will Congress do something?? anything?? place your bets

Let me rephrase. What is legal about what B. Hussein Yobabymama did?

At the time McCuntell and Ryan said what Obama did was unconstitutional.

Even B. Hussein Yobabymama said he didn't have the authority

The 5th Circuit shot down DAPA, which was DACA for old folks

Now Trump is acting 100% Constitutionally and putting power back where it belongs and people are bitching.

we simply need to realize that illegal immigration is just that, illegal. not "dreamers" or "families", ILLEGAL.

otherwise what is the difference in any case, If a nut job lefty chartered cargo vessels and loaded up ten s of thousands of starving Ethiopians day after day after day and landed them on our shores, off loaded them, shoul they not be taken in, with their "dreams"?

There has to be a system followed, adhered to, and implemented, fairly.
DACA is not that system
