Trump to scrap protection for 'Dreamers,' give Congress six months to fix

Looks like I was right.

The United States military faced challenges in enlistment, which in 2005 were described as a "crisis", though the economic downturn of 2007-2010 did away with many of the enlistment challenges. Immigrants without a United States Permanent Resident Card (also known as a green card) are not allowed to enlist. In 2007, several senior officials at the Department of Defense have spoken in favor of promising resident status to members of the military as a means of boosting recruitment.

With the military downsizing how significant is this ?

im very interested in the statement by cuomo. I would like to see what legal reasoning they have to keep DACA and if it will set a precedent where executive orders signed by one president cannot be repealed by future ones.

Social Security and it is a tax, its mandatory, it isn't meant to cheat and defraud and it is sustainable.

That is definitely an article written by Moyers et al with the scare words 'far right' and 'unregulated capitalism'. The author chooses to glance over the fact that the trust fund will go broke at its current pace and this idea that we can just continue to raise taxes and all will be fine is so simple.

What they choose not to address is the number of people retiring and the number of young people, or lack their of, working who have to pay for the benefits. This board is always right and left but there ought to be more generational issues. Once again baby boomers want "their children" to be taxed at even higher rates to support them because God forbid boomers have any responsibility.

If he wants to replace it, I'm curious as to what exactly will change. Like will there even be a point to getting rid of it in the first place?

he isn't getting rid of it in the first place.......he's getting rid of it in the last place, if Congress doesn't do something.......what we have now has already been declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court......

Not really sure what this ruling accomplishes. Doesn't please his base. Doesn't please the rest of the country and just pushes this decision on Congress until an election year (not that Congress is a victim).

The Supreme Court held that only Congress can pass this law, presidents cannot do it by executive order. What this accomplishes is forcing Congress to act, which they should have done in the first place.

Doesn't matter sweetie, Americans support DACA.
Congress supports DACA.
Your kind doesn't seem to care about Trumps executive orders.
the Supreme Court doesn't seem to care about any president's executive orders.....they say Congress has to act or it hasn't happened.......
