The latter isn't an absolute, but whatever floats your boat (no pun intended).
So, you concede AGW isn't necessary to explain Harvey?

According to the Goracle's predictions, we should have about 400 Harveys since Katrina.![]()
i dont get your post brother iolo.
"Climate change" doesn't predict anything. It just is. Theories about climate change do predict storms of increasing intensity, not necessarily frequency, over the course of time.
That is because you are a simple minded lying little troll who should choke on shit.
So, you concede AGW isn't necessary to explain Harvey?

why do people on the left always post mean things![]()
Huh?
Dude, step away from the keyboard for awhile.
No one concedes to you, you fwapping moron.

It's inevitable that climate change would be blamed for Hurricane Harvey. Everyone saw that coming so I won't supply the link.
A Pat Robertson type would make a claim that the storm is God's judgement for X or Y sins. Notice how neither proposition is supported by evidence. The proximal cause of Hurricane Harvey is warm water in the Gulf of Mexico. Warm ocean waters have been producing powerful storms for eons. Long before Al Gore or Michael Mann came along.
What caused Harvey to be so devastating is it's being blocked by high pressure to the north. And since it can't move, Houston is getting dumped on with historic amounts of rain.
That said, God may be judging Houston or God may be using climate change to do it, or neither may be true.
We just don't know because, ironically, neither proclamation is scientific.
Are you even able to read my previous responses?
Where have I said or implied that this is about AGW? I have gone OUT OF MY WAY to say that none of this is about AGW - but it could be about actual climate change.
As a climate change ... or at least an AGW climate change skeptic I can live with this much more than I can live with this response. There is nothing wrong with Lorax's stance here, IMO...for what my opinion is worth.

I wonder if you even know the difference between AGW and climate change...do you?
Very few still dispute actual climate change. It's man's contribution that is the crux of the debate.
And bigger storms are part of climate change. So, yeah.

The "man made" thing has nothing to do w/ it. I wonder if you guys even understand this issue?
Climate change is a pretty real concept, regardless of whether man contributes anything to it or not. And larger storms are part of that.
You guys need to go back & read your talking points again. No one really disputes "climate change" anymore.
