Yep... definitely have been calmer patterns. Also have been more severe patterns. AS I stated, the size/frequency will vary over time. There is not data supporting the claim that rising temps will cause more severe weather/storms.

Why would I do that? I don't even support AGW.

Why don't you do your own research for once, and stop asking others to run around finding links for you? Do you need a tutorial on google or something?

And don't you worry about the "triggering" thing. I just like good discussion on here, and you're a clear impediment to that. You don't bug me; I just feel bad for you. You spend a ton of time here for someone who knows nuthin'.

You asked how one could know what was unknown. I explained that to you. As far as stating the subjective 'a lot'. Given the continued errors in predictive models, given the vast number of variables that effect changes in climate, given that to date there has been little presented that accurately explains what is happening... yeah, there is a lot we don't know or understand.
