He knew he was, I think it's why he gave them. Nothing he does is not calculated, he was Trump's brain. Now, will Kelly or Kushner become main influence?

The thing that bugs me about this is that it didn't take Bannon's overt racism for him to be shown the door.

His white nationalism and anti-Semitism never previously bothered Trump or his message board apologists.

No, it was Trump's cratering poll numbers, his public image, and by extension electoral harm that might come to the GOP that finally compelled them to show Bannon the door.

Morality and basic human decency evidently was not even part of the equation. When it should have been from the get go.

I don't know what his role was, or if it Kelly's desire to get rid of him..
Bannon never said much before his unhinged interview.
I recall he was important in the campaign,that's all I recall about his role

We're not exactly dealing with normal humans .. rather some hybrid of human-lizard.

The danger for Trump is that Bannon is smarter than he is and has the same thin skin. Bannon could turn out to be one of Trump's great enemies.

Will he gain or lose supporters, that is the question and like is being reported, Bannon isn't responsible for Trump's tweet and Trump is really the problem.
We'll see if anything changes!
He was a noninterventionist, maybe Trump's foreign policy will change, who knows?

IMHO his usefulness ended w/ the election...... Not sure why the dirty extended his tentative loyalty to him much beyond that?

I think bannon believes he was a total success, no regrets~got the dirty elected & much of his agenda out into the mainstream.. That he would eventually be tossed aside was a given..

Good points.
Personally, I think Trump is a war monger with or without bannon. The fat, physically unfit old man has apparently always fancied himself a sort of chest-beating alpha male gorilla....a legend in his own mind! I have seen no evidence - none - that Trump has any interest in international law, diplomacy, and norms of international conduct. To the extent his primitive brain even things about global affairs, he is always talking about blowing shit up, starting nuclear arms races, or "sending Armadas" to intimidate tinpot dictators.

But on the whole, anytime a racist mother effer gets kicked to the curb it is a good day, even if it's for the wrong reasons!

that's as good of an explanation I can think of..he certainly was marginalized by all accounts in the WH

Afghanistan will be the first place we will see Trump's new policies. They have been fighting over what to do, so with Bannon gone, what now?
