As tempting as it is, kicking the nuclear NK can down the road only ensures a more severe NK crisis down the road. Currently, they could maybe strike the continental US or maybe they'd miss or the missile would misfire or whatever.

Given the stakes, even that threat is unacceptable. But what do we do 5-10 years down the road when the certainty of their capabilities jumps up to 80-90%? We will be in the position of having to give Bowl Cut whatever he wants or risk a nuclear exchange.

I get the sense China is beginning to see the end game as well. God forbid it, but if this country was nuked our economy would collapse and take the Chinese economy down with it. The Chinese are neither insane nor stupid, so they are on board.

Bowl Cut has already shown signs of backing down. Dropping missiles into the water off of Guam is far different than nuking LA---like he has been boasting of.

Trump and Tillerson are doing the right thing by keeping the pressure on NK. We may never get a chance to fully resolve this thing again.

How does Trump plan to stop them from developing nukes if the sanctions don't work? Do you know his plans? If he attacks them, he will have China to contend with, is he prepared to deal them, they said they would stay neutral if NK attacks us, but not if we strike first.
 
There is nothing Rump can do at this point other than sanctions and diplomacy with China. He's already pissed China off, so there is that....

He is threatening NK simply for the headlines.
