Does North Korea have WMD?

Remember on the Bush Board when rightwingers like this Sailor clown were accusing us lefties of being "pro-Saddam" in the run up to the Iraq War Disaster??
Only too clearly, it feels like 2002, except a bigger fool occupies the WH

It makes absolutely perfect sense to those whom are educated.

Pound sand.

Those of us who are educated understand that freedom to criticize one person doesn't automatically translate to praising another. They are two separate things.

Same on the War on Terror board. How many years were we called "terrorist supporters"?

Ha, yes Cheerleaders for the Iraq War Disaster (Sailor was undoubtedly one) made us run a gauntlet of "traitor!" insults.

Personally, I think if one was a cheerleader for the Iraq War, they need to just keep their mouth shut on any thread devoted to a potential military threat.

The odd thing is though, as the years go by, fewer and fewer people will confess to having been an Iraq War Disaster cheerleader!

I agree with you. I have almost no confidence in this fat, pussy grabbing, Reality TV star to make reasoned and nuanced judgments when it comes to international diplomacy, let alone military matters.

In that respect, fatso is even more alarming than Dumbya.

No. Iraq was a mistake. No one in their right mind can deny that. NK is completely different. They are threatening us. Repeatedly. And, if facts are correct ( as evidenced by actual missile launches) they have some capability to back up those threats.

I'm pretty sure back in 2003 you were lecturing liberals about the dire threat of Iraq, and how we needed to invade.

So, given your track record, you should really sit in the back seat and keep your mouth shut on military issues.

you are talking out of your ass. you should not be sure of anything, in that you barely know Sailor.
You continuously attack anyone whom isn't liberal enough for your tastes with sanctimonious ad homs
Grow up. It's a complicated world.

Wrong, if North Korea even thinks it is under major attack it will respond, meaning launch everything they have toward South Korea, Japan, and any other US ally in the region.

Military action isn't really a response unless we are willing to accept the devastating lose of our allies in the Far East

Bring it on bitches

FUCKING BOOM

Who said that? everyone with eyes and reasonable intelligence can see that the president of North Korea is desperate for a response, the best response is to ignore his bullshit. If he can get the United States to respond to him it elevates his level of importance.
the best response is to call him out. Obama tried "strategic patience" -Kim just used the time to advance nukes.
Obviously it was much more then Obama's "patience" -but it's also obvious Kim isn't going to stop.
He has to be called out and stopped because he will shortly be an existential threat.

Saddam never posed a threat to the West, Kim is a threat to the entire Pacific region. However there has been far too much megaphone diplomacy for my liking, somebody needs to put a muzzle on Trump. However to be honest, I can't see that Hillary Clinton would have been that much different.

He's always been like that, truly sanctimonious and ignorant. I was totally against the 2003 war and always considered that Afghanistan was the real target. Bush was a fool to use the goodwill from 9/11 to get revenge for his dad.

China could stop this pretty much overnight if they wanted to by cutting off the oil pipeline from Dandong. It is patently obvious that they are terrified of a reunited Korea, they need to be reassured that this won't result in a massive US presence on their border.
