Sen. Flake politically castrates Trump, possibly setting up a presidential run

Well we disagree - because I believe the millions of Americans who have lost their jobs because of cheap labor overseas does matter - and trade reforms need to be instituted to protect American workers from this. The fact that technology always replaces jobs only makes it that much important that we protect the jobs we can.
Then expend your time on that, I am working for training I jobs of the future, because robotics are going to take even more of the jobs than offshoring.

So I would argue that if anything is misguided - it would be to continue to allow competing countries that treat their workers like shit to entice our businesses to their shores without consequence. Race to the bottom economics is not something I'm overly fond of.

I'm all for job training - and so is the President who has expanded that program.

Automation and productivity are the main drivers behind jobs losses. Tariffs are a lose-lose proposition. Will hurt far more industries than it will help.

Not sure if you are aware but Republicans were the vanguards, the seminal exponents of free trade. The Democrats eventually sold out to the idea.

Republicans are the free trade party.
Thats dishonest and you know it. No way you forgot BJ signed NAFTA. Anyway I go against the zeitgeist- I'm all for free trade.

That is all PackD knows how to be. Not to mention that every time he blames Democrats doing something because Republicans supposedly did it first he just shows how weak and ineffectual the Democrat party is. Followers, never leaders.

Job training is fine - but that's beside my point.

I am talking about jobs that we currently have now - they are just being moved offshore so they can be done more cheaply in countries that do not have labor rights and protections.

No one is mourning the past or whatever. I am talking about the present day and present day jobs....

China is losing manufacturing jobs to robots......
