Sessions big-gov't views on marijuana

Mouse studies while not completely insignificant are not conclusive. There are piles of drugs that showed promise in mice/rats yet failed in humans.

As to the smoking thing

1) the smoking link to lung cancer has always been overblown.

2) most weed smokers don't smoke as often or as long as cigarette smokers. Cigarette smokers can smoke a pack a day.

Look I have never claimed that THC doesn't have some medicinal properties. I am saying that the "medical marijuana" push is a scam to legalize pot.

I am also saying that it is Sessions right to follow existing law

why do you want mice to die of cancer?......

I have proven it is a scam Sambo

Now get in line for your welfare check

You haven't proven anything.

They're just scratching the surface of what pot can do medically. And Sessions is not "doing the right thing." There are years of precedent for the Feds staying out of this, and conflicting laws in many states.

The question on this is not one of upholding the law. It is one of states rights and smaller Federal gov't. I would think you'd come down on the conservative side of that, but you sound like desh on this issue.

Haven't heard anyone talk about Marinol which has been on the market since the 1980s. But yeah, run with that

So tell me Mr Expert

What is the marijuana dose to treat glaucoma?

What is the marijuana dose to treat chemotherapy induced nausea and vomiting?

How does a doctor prescribe it? I hat does he prescribe?

Straw man yurt. Marijuana is against the law at the federal level. Feds trump states. States can be more restrictive but not less. That is always how it has worked

Hide your bong Cheech

Didn't cite a single thing Legion Troll. I'll pose it again and give you a mulligan.

cite the law that Sessions has to prosecute Medical Marijuana laws.

There is no law stating he has to. His oath of office says he is bound to uphold the law. Marijuana is illegal at the federal level. Change the marijuana laws

Elections have consequences dipshit.

This isn't complicated.

Nobody is going to take your bong

I think THC/Marijuana should be legalized. However, when reefer madness came out, pot was a lot less harmful. Back in the day, 60-70s pot was a lot less potent. Now we have super weed, hybrid strains, dabs, edibles, new ways of inhalation, that came make you as messed up as shooting heroin. And people are led to believe its harmless and they can drive. Studies show it can damage mental development up till the age of 25. (This is what the age to buy should be if legalized).

Leading to a sharp increase of auto accidents in legalized states. And what about the fact that long term use of the drug can make you a paranoid schizo/Conspiracy theorist.

Irish, this is the first valid counter-point I think I've seen on this thread. The whole component with driving under the influence is the biggest issue, and something that they have to figure out better ways to address.

It's kind of stupid to say that "everyone still smokes" whether it's legal or not, but it's essentially true. The problem of driving under the influence is still an issue whether it's legal or not.

The only group that has been consistently pro pot and anti-war is the most conservative ... the Libertarians.

Democrats supported Obama's war on pot, and never changed federal law when they were in power ... not sure why they're getting bent now. :dunno:

Obama was a big disappointment on marijuana policy. It's one of the reasons I didn't vote for him in '12.

But Sessions is much more aggressive about it, and wants to really set the clock back on this issue. There were some early hiccups w/ Obama, but for the most part, the Feds stayed out of it and respected the will of the people in states that were legalizing.
