It's more than just jobs. Unemployment is relatively low and has been. The issue is the quality of the jobs. Focusing on job numbers alone doesn't cover that.

And I'd be careful about trying to credit Trump so much for the stock market considering it's in a bubble. It will burst and if you're trying to credit him now you're going to have to take the blame on the way down.

Someday the two sides should work on establishing the stats by which all politicians will be judged by. Right now, job participation rate and GDP seems the most promising, while NYSE and unemployment rate are becoming old news.

if we were truly in full employment wages would be going up as employers compete for scarce labor and Clinton would have won in a landslide. Instead you have a total collapse with states like MI going from +8 dem to +1 GoP and WI going from +7 dem to +1 gop. 8-9 point swings. Iowa went from +5 dem to +10 gop. a 15 point swing.

when democrats say we are at full employment and people dont believe them its not because they have any particular distrust of the media. Its because there are certain things that should come with full employement that they do not see.
