Gerrymandering in Florida will be soon going down

This goes back to majority minority districts. They were intended originally to help get black politicians elected. But essentially the argument today is we still want that to happen but not have so many blacks (or other group) that it hurts other districts.

You're wrong.

The Florida Republican dominated legislature drew that district to box in a large swath of mostly black voters so that their votes could not effect Republicans in adjoining districts.

Brown's gerrymandered district:

Longitudinally, it stretches over 150 miles.

Nobody in their right mind can come up with a legitimate excuse for drawing any district that way.

If I'm wrong what was the purpose of the majority minority districts?

And for the record I think the drawing up of districts should be taken out of the hands of politicians

It was done by the Republican state legislature for the benefit of Republicans, you dumbass fuck. :palm:

Damn you're dumb, sonny boy.

Dear dumbass fuck; it is done in Democratic state legislatures too. I do wish you had a brain; but then, you wouldn't be the repugnant lying leftist dumbfuck we know you to be.

By the way, you ignorant moron, there is no such district in the current mapping and it was the Florida Supreme Court that finalized the maps.

You make lying an art form shit-for-brains.

The Florida Supreme Court has approved a congressional district map, ending a saga that began with the 2010 census, carried on through courts and a special legislative session, and means big changes for some South Florida congressional districts.

The map, created by voting rights groups including the League of Women Voters, will mean congressional districts in Broward and Palm Beach counties represented by Lois Frankel, D-West Palm Beach, and Ted Deutch, D-West Boca, will no longer run parallel to each other. Instead, one district will be entirely in Palm Beach County, while another will be mostly in Broward, but also includes Boca Raton.

See above you ignorant repugnant lying liberal moron on steroids.

Your above post was nothing but bogus deflection wrapped around another one of your shit filled lies.

Didn't even address Brown's district.

You are what shit would shit if shit could shit.

Yep, in liberal dumbfuck land, gerrymandering is only good when Democrats engage in it. :rofl2

In reference to Florida in the OP, Districts 5, 20, and 24 are majority minority districts. Democrats like evince have no problem with that. It's like affirmative action. Using race is OK when it favors blacks.

Exactly what happened with Brown's district.

They ensured that a large swath of black voters would all be in her district, virtually guaranteeing that the rest of the adjoining districts would be safe for white Republicans.

And of course annette jumps right in to deflect and side step the issue now that she's a fan gurl in the party of Trump.

Interesting how many of those majority minority districts have a greater than 20% use of food stamps.

You affirmative action supporters should be appreciative of the majority minority districts. It's the ONLY way many of the blacks that get elected to them could get elected.

They are when they're fairly constructed .. not when they're constructed just to cram minorities into one district .. keeping their voting power away from republican districts .. as has been the proven case many times.

If you need me to prove that :0) I'm sure you already know that I can.

Next question

Since they can't be fairly constructed and are only done to appease whiners, thank you for proving none of them are fairly constructed.

I've proven it just like you knew I could.

Move on, BOY.

On a side note, have you noticed how many of those majority minority districts also have a greater than 20% use of food stamps? Coincidence? Don't think so. More like a lifestyle.

Cry harder snowflake; the map was the districting map approved in Florida you ignorant brain dead leftist liar. :rofl2:
