The Florida Republican dominated legislature drew that district to box in a large swath of mostly black voters so that their votes could not effect Republicans in adjoining districts.

Brown's gerrymandered district:

Longitudinally, it stretches over 150 miles.

Nobody in their right mind can come up with a legitimate excuse for drawing any district that way.

By the way, you ignorant moron, there is no such district in the current mapping and it was the Florida Supreme Court that finalized the maps.

Instead, one district will be entirely in Palm Beach County, while another will be mostly in Broward, but also includes Boca Raton.

In reference to Florida in the OP, Districts 5, 20, and 24 are majority minority districts. Democrats like evince have no problem with that. It's like affirmative action. Using race is OK when it favors blacks.

You affirmative action supporters should be appreciative of the majority minority districts. It's the ONLY way many of the blacks that get elected to them could get elected.
