Stop subsiding green energy, it's hurting 'Murical'.

Who is going to believe a study produced by the likes of the Sierra Club, Greenpeace et al? Well apart from gullible people like you?

Sent from my iPhone 25S with cherries on top

Yet you expect everyone to blindly accept the "findings" of studies commissioned by Big Oil.

ROFL at all you Big Oil and Gas shills for defending the outlandish subsidies the government gives to Big Oil & Gas!

FOUR TIMES as much as renewables get.

Right???

Because they're all about "small gub'mint" and "fiscal responsibility".

And let's not forget the old "keepin' da gub'mint outta private enterprise".

What a bunch of phony baloney hypocrites.

"According to the Energy Information Administration (EIA) and the University of Texas, from 2010 through 2013, federal renewable energy subsidies increased by 54%, from $8.6 billion to $13.2 billion, despite the fact that total federal energy subsidies declined by 23%, from $38 billion to $29 billion.

Subsidies then decreased dramatically from 2013 to 2016, because:

• tax incentives expired for biofuels,

• the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) stimulus funds were used up,

• energy assistance funds decreased,

there was a 15% decrease in fossil fuel subsidies from $4.0 billion to $3.4 billion, and

• a 12% decrease in nuclear subsidies from $1.9 billion to $1.7 billion.

But the subsidies for nuclear and fossil fuels are indirect subsidies like decommissioning and insurance assistance, leasing of federal lands, and other externalities, unlike the subsidies for renewables which are directly for the production of electricity and directly affect cost and pricing."

GE didn't even have to pay taxes because of Green robber baron subsidies :palm:

Indirect subsidies also directly affect the price, Dopey, but nice try.

If you had a legitimate argument you wouldn't need to lie to make a point.

Ok lazy pants, took less time to google than it did to copy/paste. There are so many articles about this shit I can't believe you don't already know this, get out of your echo chamber.

Thoughtless wonder; do you have any idea how much pollution is released in casting an engine block for a car?
Do you have any idea how much longer electric cars last?
Any idiot can write an article on the web but that doesn't mean it is true

Link it up and I'll read it. I used for example climatedepot and audibon who you would think would love to bash oil, try to get me some decent links.

Meanwhile, I will try to find the co2 cost of producing an electric motor although chances are neither will find our info because they probably haven't been studied.

It doesn't matter since they can't be directly compared.

Yep, seems we're on an impasse on this on, limited data, different mfr methods. Think you do need to know that that I am all for green energy but would rather have funding for research and mitigation than subsidizing production and purchase. We will fight another day.
