We could actually have a valid and meaningful discussion of whether one big lie (WMDs) versus Trump's sheer quantity of lies constitutes a more egregious attack on the truth. Do you want to have that discussion? My belief is that WMDs and cooked intel had great destructive consequences for the world, but Trump's attack on the truth has a great impact on American society and the erosion of political discourse.

That sums it up for me. Of course the dishonest manipulation of WMD intel was hugely destructive. But Trump's campaign of dishonesty is something that I believe has the potential for even more far-reaching, institutional damage. He's changing the culture.
