OK, I didn't catch that vibe. I got a more emotional message that the angelic lesbian rose above all the hate and saved a life. It doesn't have to be a negative message if you try to see it in a positive light. You want your views to be heard. That requires a listener to receive them without looking for hidden meanings.

You don't have to like what people say, but you should try to listen with a kind ear.

I think that was Joy's point. Scalise consistently voted against his security detail's best interests, and knowing that, she still did her job.
 
This thread is sad proof Republicans don't give a crap about the victim, they just want to score political points out of tragedy. So they forfeit the moral force of the accusation, one they frequently have and will make. That's the price of hypocrisy. Pay up.

She should get a trophy? Should we match up the citizens of the country with police officers who only share the same political viewpoints?

It's there, no matter how you listen. The underlying supposition. The basic understanding that one opposes the other. Certainly you understood and didn't question it. Because it's already there, she couldn't be a Republican member of the NRA and a black lesbian. Right?
