You sure are hung up on the requirement that he come out publically on Trump. Why would he need to do that? Because Trump wanted him to? Trump was doing the talking. Obviously, that wasn't good enough for you. You don't trust him either, do you?

Comey is pissy because Trump fired him---even after stating POTUS can fire an FBI head for literally anything lol.

If Comey refused to tell the public *the truth* I'd fire him too. While he was 3000 miles away. Then I'd send someone into his office to find the memos he has on Lynch and Obama. I'd love to leak some of those.

It would be within my power as POTUS.

It's going to be interesting to see if this gets as far as Watergate, very much doubt, but it will resolve the issue of trump's surrogates who seem to believe that the Potus is a king, despite US v Nixon on privilege and those subpoenas, and whether that logic transports to interfering with an investigation when here, as in Nixon where Dick had no national security rationale for failing to comply, neither does Mfia Don. Since Dick was pardoned and resigned we won't know how the using the CIA to fuck over the FBI as Dick did, would have played out.

How about because it's the truth? Not revealing the truth, when it matters and when you can, is a kind of lie. Comey is a weasel.

In an editorial published Wednesday night, just hours ahead of Comey's highly anticipated testimony before Congress, the Journal said that his testimony, released earlier in the day, suggests he believes the FBI should act as an unchecked authority in law enforcement, and that Comey didn't seem interested in discussing any of the issues before him with any elected or appointed officials.

"The most troubling part of Mr. Comey's statement is his belief in what he calls 'the FBI's traditionally independent status in the executive branch,' which he invokes more than once," the paper said. "Independent? This is a false and dangerous view of law enforcement in the American system. Mr. Comey is describing an FBI director who essentially answers to no one. But the police powers of the government are awesome and often abused, and the only way to prevent or correct abuses is to report to elected officials who are accountable to voters."

Comey was fired in May by President Trump after Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein recommended his dismissal and after Trump, by his own account, grew frustrated with the FBI's investigation into whether his campaign colluded with Russia.

In his written testimony, Comey recounts a dinner meeting he had with Trump in late January, during which he said he grew uncomfortable by the president's questions about "loyalty" to him.

Evidently, Comey wasn't as concerned when Loretta asked him to go along with the obstruction regarding Hillary. It was a "matter" not an investigation.
