Trump is the president of his shrinking base

What the hell do you think is conservative about Trump? Name one attribute that he had prior to running for POTUS that was conservative or even Republican.

I'm still waiting all the truly conservative legislation that has passed the POTUS' desk that he has vetoed.

I don't think Trump is conservative.

Funny that most Republicans think he's a conservative. He's definitely right-wing, though. Leaning more towards authoritarianism and fascism, hence his crush on Putin, Saddam, Kim Jong Un, Dirty Duterte, and possibly Hitler (he used to keep his speeches on his nightstand).

In fact I'm on record in this forum saying that I voted for Trump because I think he's an old-school Liberal Democrat.

From which era of Democrat? I am genuinely curious, because the Democrats were the original racist KKK party before they reformed. The Republicans used to be the pro-civil rights party of New York liberals until the Southern Strategy.

Anymore left/right bullshit you'd like to throw at me?

Yes.

Which brings me back to leadership. Trump is the leader of his party, but can't lead them. Trump sets the agenda. He can't even get his cabinet filled, and it's not because of Democrats.

Yes.

Trump is definitely not right-wing.

And if you have more to throw at me bring it.

We'll get there, but you'll have to bring more to the table than "Trump is definitely not right-wing". That's an opinion unsupported by the evidence. Trump is a wannabe authoritarian fascist. He likes how Putin and Kim Jong Un have risen to power, and applauds Duterte on his drug policies which involve executing people in the street without a trial.

Trump has a 40 year track record of public statements before he was elected. Even you...in this very thread...pointed that out. It seems you're in an uncomfortable position here.

The Executive Branch does not Legislate. If you want more legislation I suggest you write your Legislators.

How so? You're not giving me much to work with.

So who's fault is it that the Republicans -- controlling all three branches of government -- cannot legislate or do anything except through executive action?

Hint: It's not the Democrats, it's not Obama, and it's not Hillary.

This is a good point and it illustrates why I don't like republicans. (I don't like progstains either btw)

They got exactly what they asked for and still weren't ready to lead. They're defective.

You said that the POTUS was blocking "true conservatives" like McConnell from passing their agendas. I am wondering which agendas of theirs the POTUS has vetoed.

Because you tried to paint as a guy who thinks Trump is conservative. I'm not. Now where do you go?

I frankly don't care what you think. If you thought my 'ace card' was painting you anything, you're sorely mistaken.

McConnell is a conservative, Trump is not. Most Republicans are conservative. Trump is not. He's a hodgepodge of Republican base gutter snipe and talking points. Trump is using the Republicans, and the Republicans are using him. Shamelessly. It's a forced marriage and it's not working out.

His base is shrinking, strong support for Trump melting .. and he hasn't expanded his base at all since the election.
Trump never had strong support. Hardly any. Hell, even some repubs were openly supporting hrc.
I'd say dims base is shrinking by more. With their behavior - violent protests against free speech is one example - their base is getting to be trannies, super predators, hollywierds, radical islamic terrorist sympathizers, the Bay area and Portland.

I don't think you tried, I know you tried. You did it in this very thread, you can't hide that.

As for the relationship between Trump and the GOP...yep, there are some problems there, and that's an understatement.

I never said he was blocking anything. I said that Trump can't get shit done. Trump is failure and a loser, and those that follow him are destined to lose and fail. He is not a leader, he's a picker of low-hanging fruit. He thinks that people should simply do what he tells them, like a true authoritarian. Republicans have their own agenda, and if they can't use Trump they will ditch him out of self-preservation. Just as they joined him out of self-preservation.

Cliff's Notes version: You are attacking roughly half of the American people but don't have the balls to say that's what you're doing.

You make me go back and c/p you because you can't remember what you just said? Come on you can do better than that.

Yeah, it's rough having an actual conservative (McConnell, Paul Ryan, etc.) who wants to pass traditional Republican legislation -- getting a "Republican" president elected -- only to have the whole thing blow up in your face because the POTUS is an incompetent buffoon with the mentally of an authoritarian man-baby and the body of a small-fingered Oompa Loompa. I would be embarrassed as a Republican, hitching my wagon to that falling star. I guess I'll have to be embarrassed for you until you acquire the emotion of shame.

And now, I would like to know what traditional Republican legislation has the POTUS vetoed.

The answer is NONE.

And I love this kind of shit where someone tries to make it seem as if everyone in the country is as big a dumbshit as they are. Most Americans aren't devoted to left or right. The ones who are are usually the stupid ones.
