‘He broke me’: A defiant, tearful Kathy Griffin slams attacks by Trump and his family

I'm in this camp with you. I don't like the far right or left, the GOP or the Dem parties.

However, based on behavior, I vote GOP. I just cannot stand liberals. How they act, how they talk, how they think they are superior to everyone, and (now) believe all dissent must be silenced. (The last is a new neo-fascist liberal idea that wasn't alway around).

Therefor I can never support them or their party.
Odd comment in a thread about a liberal(I guess) comedian losing her livelihood for not being pc w/ the non-pc ruler...

I think she definitely crossed the line, but the backlash is over the top.

Beyond that - she's in comedy, where you're really supposed to cross the line now & again. It's kind of ironic that we heard about "PC" every single day from Trump and his supporters, but get a different standard on this one.

what backlash do you think is over the top? Do you think CNN was wrong for firing her?

I notice that when it came to Christian bakers being run out of business for not buying into the leftist narrative on queer marriage, you were very supportive of the "backlash". You were very supportive of Christians being run out for not holding to leftist orthodoxy. So tell me what backlash do you think is over the top.

I have told you leftist that you were playing a dangerous game when you use your bullying tactics on others. You apparently think that they will never come back to bite you in the ass. Well, now it has for Kathy Griffin and you guys don't like it.

It is like the democrat party fucking around with judicial nominees then scream "OMG" when the GOP turns the tables on them. Well, tough shit

SO that's a good reason to vote for someone??
No it's not. It's also not a good reason to not to vote for someone because their personality is so distateful but that's the reality and that's one big reason hrc lost. That's also one reason I did not consider Trump - because he's got such a boorish personality . But he's doing some good things - reining in the EPA, nominated a stellar supreme court judge, withdrawing from the Paris climate BS to name 3 off the top of my head.
Hopefully other parties will offer something more American to suit your tastes....
Dims have. Examples are Paul Tsongas, Jim Webb, O'malley. But good ones like that don't stand a chance of getting the nom anymore.
You know, if she had one it would be exactly the same, except the roles would be reversed..:dunno:
That's a hypothetical conjecture but we didn't see even mild protests after Obama was elected or any other dim.
The behavior of the left after the election, to include hollywierds, senile old repubs, super predators, and snowflakes is like nothing I've ever seen

just another example of a woman trying to play with the big boys but when it gets thrown back in her face she starts with the crocodile tears. How often does this literally happen on JPP or any other microcosm? No different from grade school. Some things never change. Women cannot hang with the tough men, no matter how strong and fierce and tough they try to portray themselves.

If this board is a microcosm of the population in general, I wonder how many out there are like me who once never would consider voting for Trump but because of the way progs have been behaving since the election I'm almost assured of voting for that POS next time around.

How many out there (aside from you) would publicity admit that they're so immature and shallow, that they'd vote for a guy they know to be a useless POS, just to express their butt hurt snowflake anger at other people who also consider him to be a useless POS?

Thanks for admitting what a horse's ass you are.

??I recall the tea party protesting & lots of hate speech against Obama & Bush..

We have seen a lot, but I think what's different now is trump continues to tweet rage & attack anyone/everyone he believes is opposed to him, or just doesn't like him..

He has done nothing in a conciliatory manner to reach out to the dems or the American citizen that opposed him, including in his own party-wtf would he expect??

Ppl aint gonna lay down, especially when he pulls something @ least a couple times a week, the Russian probes, etc etc etc....

Now that said I certainly agree there are assholes a plenty out there, but unfortunately he is one of them...:dunno:

Well, you fit that billet and obviously did not admit how shallow and immature you were when you voted for HRC. More like you, on the cowardly side.

Right...its perfectly ok for liberals to be on point with assassinating the president of the US...as long as its Trump or any of his supporters....
You're a true moron.....

She wasn't doing comedy. So much for the crossing the line being OK excuse.

Yet the backlash when a rodeo clown wore an Obama mask was perfectly OK? Hack.

Interesting how Thingy tries to excuse it because she's a comedian when what she did wan't part of a comedy act. IOW, he uses the "it was a joke" excuse.

"I’m not afraid of Trump," the 56-year-old comedian said. "He’s a bully. I’ve dealt with older white guys trying to keep me down my whole career."
Griffin never imagined it could be misinterpreted as a threat of violence against Trump.
Bloom said, were meant to be a parody of Trump's infamous "blood-blood-coming-out-of-her-whatever
as journalists, networks and artists fear retribution from Trump and his administration. He is hoping for a chilling effect on artists like Kathy."
Donald Trump Jr. took a break from killing leopards and elephants to hound CNN and its anchors
A sitting president of the United States, his grown children and the first lady are personally, I feel, are trying to ruin my life forever.”
"He broke me and then I was like, 'No, this isn’t right'. I apologized because was the right thing to do. Then it became a mob mentality pile-on.
"Unlike these male artists, Kathy has endured the most powerful man in America and his family using their power to target her
He’s not just Donald Trump, real estate developer, having a celebrity feud," Bloom said. "He’s using the power of the government."

Trump whines & cries every day about how "unfair" everyone is to him.

Is that the kind of tough man you're referring to?

Huh? She crossed the line on this one. How's that mean there's a different standard? I'm not following what you mean. You can't be saying that supporters of political correctness support this expression of free speech? Everyone thinks it's over the line.

Plus the hilariously ridiculous part is her calling Trump the bully here. Talk about flipping the script!

The reaction is pure snowflake-city to me. She crossed the line, as I've said quite a few times - but people are going too nuts about it.

Maybe I just don't relate to it. I have a hard time manufacturing outrage, either over this or something Nugent says or whatever. She took it too far, it was tasteless, she apologized & got fired. The way people are talking about it is crazy to me.
