This is beyond reality. Backlash? She knew ahead of time it was wrong. She was talking to her little group behind the scenes about knowing how bad the backlash would be, they'd all probably have to move to Mexico because of how over the top her stunt was going to be, etc. She and all of them are straight up mentally ill. Look at this presser she gave...manipulating the scratchy, crying, hysterical voice yet not actually breaking down with a sign of any tears! Total acting job all the way.

This why it is hard to have any kind of honest or rational discussion with you. The PC being talked about in no way was about defending or supporting something like this.

There is no different standard, only your lie there is one.

Trump and his minions re-defined PC throughout the campaign. It became as silly as being able to call a woman "ugly," because "we're not gonna be PC anymore!"

The reaction to this is strictly snowflake stuff. Everyone agrees that she crossed the line, but are you really "outraged"? She's a comedian who miscalculated - she held a mask covered w/ ketchup, or whatever it was. Is that really keeping you up nights?
 
If this board is a microcosm of the population in general, I wonder how many out there are like me who once never would consider voting for Trump but because of the way progs have been behaving since the election I'm almost assured of voting for that POS next time around.

Hopefully other parties will offer something more American to suit your tastes....

I'm in this camp with you. I don't like the far right or left, the GOP or the Dem parties.

However, based on behavior, I vote GOP. I just cannot stand liberals. How they act, how they talk, how they think they are superior to everyone, and (now) believe all dissent must be silenced. (The last is a new neo-fascist liberal idea that wasn't alway around).

Therefor I can never support them or their party.

So, the answer is, no one said this type of speech was okay and no one brought anything like it up when discussing PC.
