Trump's tax cut proposal

What I have noticed is that conservatives never want to talk about the aggregate tax burden, they only want to talk about income tax.

do you think that's because we're talking about federal taxes?.......if you're unhappy with your state taxes deal with your governor?......

You're claiming rich people don't pay taxes. Our state clearly shows otherwise. And if the plan as proposed goes through they won't be able to deduct the state taxes so they will get hit hard.

*SIGH*...I'm claiming the rich, wealthy, religion, businesses, corporations etc.

I don't believe your theory about them getting hit hard.

So, we'll leave it at that.

It's not a theory, it's factual (if it goes through as proposed).

You want extreme taxation rates that not even Democrats would be willing to propose.

Most do until they actually have to pay them. Then attitudes change quite quickly.

Eh, even many lower income people don't want the type of tax rates she wants. She envisions 60% - 70% tax rates and minimum wages as high as $30/hr. Even many liberals know what that would do to the economy.

What am I getting?
Why don't you care about Trump dumping even more debt for future generations to pay?
after Obama's 10Trillion in debt?
If it got GDP up a full percentage point that's almost a trillion ($800b) in increased revenues.
Grow the GDP ..2% is just not enough

Like I said, until one has to actually pay them. Big difference between taking and paying.

No I want what President Obama, the Dems, progressives and the American people have been calling for.

Raise taxes on the 1% and corporations, along with cons like dump who have been getting away with not paying taxes for decades. They need to pay up.

Making religion pay would be the icing on the cake, but that will come later.

What about Obama's debt? I was critical of that too. I don't have your double standards.

But the one silver lining I could see w/ a Trump Presidency was his promise to reduce it. With his military budget proposals and now this pretty extreme tax cut, it's clear he has no intention of doing that.

When have I said this?

And you damn right, minimum wage should be at least $20/hr.

You need to do simplification along with lowering corporate taxes to 15% - about the norm worldwide.
Currently we are at 40% (?) -but with all the deductions most corps pay ab0ut the 15%..

I would not get rid of the death tax - it's a minimum guarantee.

I think I read Trump's proposal is to exempt the first $24k for a married couple..good.
But you gotta simplify deductions for individuals also.

Actually even Democrats have been calling for corporate tax reform.

well if the damn Russiaphobes hadn't destroyed a chance for de-escalation, quite a bit of military spending would be reduced.
This is a main reason I keep harping on the damage Cold War 2.0 is doing to us.
It's not making us any safer either. Mostly redundant weapons systems, and more "gee whizz" stuff.

Then there is sequestor - that damaged readiness, and cut the Navy way back; and while we could live without 7 aircraft carriers and personnel for 2 land wars. -
stuff like NKorea shows we do need that power platform & manpower

Trump jawboned about $15 million from the cost of each new F-35 that will be coming off the line.
All told that will be about $20 billion total savings( and more important the darn thing really is living up to it's hype).

But you gotta get that GDP up -as I showed that brings in a lot of revenue

What if you actually commented on the topic for once Zap instead of commenting on other posters? What did Trump say differently on the campaign trail compared to what's in his tax proposal that makes you believe Trump voters got conned?
Irony endures
