Trump's tax cut proposal

If you aren't feeling conned yet - this ought to do it.

Check it out. An unabashed & historic giveaway to corporations and the very rich. Cutting corporate taxes to make America "business friendly" is one thing; this kind of completely inequitable windfall makes no sense at all. Trump claims that that the job growth that will result will offset the huge amount he's going to add to the deficit, but the #'s don't add up.

It's just a gift for his rich friends, on the backs of the middle class and future generations. He wore a red baseball cap and talked a lot about workers, so everyone thought he was "one of them," and "talks just like us."

Like everything else, we shouldn't have taken him literally.

Onceler, the problem with your argument is Trump doesn't have any friends and the people he is trying to impress most are the rich NY socialites who happen to all be democrats. But Trump said all along he would cut taxes so I'm not sure if you thought being pro worker meant he would raise them?

"It couldn’t come at a better time. According to a new Job Creators Network (JCN) poll conducted by Roosevelt Opinion Research of 400 small businesses, more than 70 percent of respondents agree that high taxes and tax complexity currently threaten the viability of their businesses.

The nation’s small business job creators face a top federal marginal tax rate of 40 percent. President Trump’s proposal to cut this rate by over 60 percent will allow business owners to invest more of their resources in hiring, expansion, and their communities—keeping more money on Main Street rather than sending it off to Washington, D.C.

Because of the federal government’s decades-old tax code, the United States boasts the highest corporate tax rate—35 percent—in the developed world, which places U.S. businesses and the economy writ large at a severe competitive disadvantage. Countries like Ireland, for example, are able to attract businesses with a corporate tax rate of 12.5 percent. The president’s proposal would dramatically reduce the tax burden on U.S. businesses and encourage job creation.

As a result of President Trump’s commitment to the major issues facing small businesses—including taxes, regulations, and healthcare reform—the new JCN poll finds that nearly 60 percent of them believe that Trump “will have a positive effect” on their business, employees, and customers.

This bodes well for the U.S. economy. There are 29 million small businesses in America, providing employment for roughly half of the U.S. workforce and impacting 85 million people in total."

Trump said he wanted to cut corporate and other taxes. Don't be such a massive hack, no one is conned, he is doing what he said he wanted to do.

"It's not even close to tax reform." That was from a Republican in Congress.

You should check it out, cawacko. It makes no fiscal sense. It's a giveaway that will continue to blow up the deficit; his projections for the kind of growth it will spur are strictly of his own making.

Watch how it plays out over the next few days. I was expecting a tax cut, and I like tax cuts. This is WAY too slanted toward the rich & corporate welfare.

LMAO

So Thingy admits no one was actually conned.

Just your opinion. Which doesn't need much.

Deficits don't matter remember? Just borrow and print money.

Deficits don't matter to you. At least they didn't for Obama.

i have always advocated for a lower tax but for closing of loopholes. The current paper rate is 30% and all they actually pay is 15%. Make it 15 or 20 and have everyone pay it equally.

There's two really good things about Trump's tax proposal: the first is the prospect for jobs. The current corporate rate is too high. A lower corporate rate should allow more hiring. Same ditto for small businesses---which accounts for 85% of jobs. Small businesses were suffocating under the current tax rate and they do most of the hiring.

So more people working equals more people paying taxes. There's nothing not to like about it as far as I'm concerned.

Again.....not taxing anyone, anyone...to include corporations is not GIVING a damn thing to anyone, as its their earned income to begin with not BIG BROTHERS. Its not a give away.....its a break from BIG BROTHER stealing income. Strange that you consider NOT TAKING SOMEONES earned money...as a gift. LMAO But if you "feel" that way there is nothing stopping you from doubling your own taxes on a voluntary basis to make up for the (wink, wink) theft. Why does the left "covet" the personal property of others? There could be no FREE SHIT if the top 5% stopped paying 80% of the taxes in this nation.

The federal government PRODUCES nothing...every single penny it OVER SPENDS comes from the personal coffers of THE PEOPLE. Its time for a flat tax if you want the BURDEN of taxation to be truly equal. There should be no tax on income....only tax that which is spent, that way everyone shares equally. The feds would still take in almost 4 trillion annually (if not more).....the only difference would be the fact that those who have not contributed would now be forced to contribute...even the mob and drug cartels that spend money, even those that earn almost 50 k a year but are determined by Big Brother to be living in poverty would be forced to pay a "fair" share. And the best thing....THE IRS and its political weaponizing would be antiquated and useless (think of the extra money that THE PEOPLE would save by not having to fund that totalitarian Government entity.

Another tax plan that will do nothing for the economy but grow the deficit, you people can't be this stupid, but you prove time and again that you are.

Idea? If Big Brother would live within its means and stop spending money they don't have....like WE THE PEOPLE are forced to...problem solved. THE US does not have a tax problem....its has an OVER(spending) problem.

If you can't make it on 7.5 trillion a year (the taxes collected each year by the local, state and federal governments each year with the feds getting almost 5 trillion of that collected monies).......what difference does it make...you sure as hell can't make it unless you figure out a way to tax 100% of the People at a 100% rate....then if the democrats have their way they would still find a way to spend 125% in an attempt to purchase votes via the peoples tax coffers.
