If you are inclined to believe that Trump coordinated with Assad and Putin to orchestrate this entire scenario, then yes, Trump wagged the dog. So far it looks like the usual US response: Lob some missiles and talk about how we did something.
If so, it worked perfectly..........
That was my first thought on this.
Still is.

So did all the Congressional investigations stop ? Did the FBI call off their investigation ? If so, I must have missed that headline....wtf are you talking about ?
some experts have made the point that this is aimed at china too. I mean they really could have picked anytime to make these strikes. If they picked two weeks from now people wouldnt have minded and the reaction of both camps would be the same. Yet they picked in the middle of the chinese summit.

Trump’s Talk Of Syria Humanitarian Concern Rings Hollow
The president has demonized refugees, particularly Syrians, for years.
...
Since his inauguration, Trump has repeatedly spread lies about refugee-related problems in Sweden. And his administration has tried to mislead the public on the number of refugees being investigated on terror charges. The Washington Post rated Trump’s talking point on the issue “highly misleading” last month.
After a U.S. intelligence analysis suggested that Syrian President Bashar Assad used the banned chemical weapon sarin in an attack on an opposition-held village on Tuesday, Trump spoke multiple times about children and other civilians who were affected.*
“Assad choked out the lives of helpless men, women and children. It was a slow and brutal death for so many. Even beautiful babies were cruelly murdered at this very barbaric attack,” Trump said after launching the strike Thursday night. “No child of God should ever suffer such horror.
The White House confirmed after the attack that Trump has not altered his position on refugees. National Security Adviser James McMaster said the refugee issue “wasn’t discussed as any part of the deliberations” for the strikes, according to a White House pool report.
The hypocrisy did not go unnoticed.

Yeah, no problems in Sweden. Just another run of the mill truck running of civilians in a shopping center....guess its all Trump lies....
US intell didn't just 'suggest' Syrian President Bashar Assad used the banned chemical weapons, they absolutely declared he DEFINITELY did use them.
Any hypocrisy is only in you little mind....what else would come from huffington and Wapo but the same anti-Trump they've been spewing for months now....
If the missile strike stops the use of WMD in Syria that will protect thousands of refugees in the country, more than anyone could ever take in for safety....

Since BAC is a racist, where is the racist watchdog to call him out?

Maybe you should tell your new found friend Moonbat that, he believes that Israel did it!Don't look now homeboy, but it isn't just Huffington and WaPo talking Trump is a stooge. But don't get this twisted, I have no illusion that you were at interested in truth. If you don't see the hypocrisy in Trump's prior statements, you have no interest in truth .. only your emotions. I didn't post the for you .. I posted it through you.
Of course Assad used chemical weapons .. maybe there are just too many dots for you to follow.
Here is something else I'm posting through you. By all means, don't read it if you don't want to.
Observers Warn That Syria Attack is Trump's "Wag the Dog" Moment
Reports that Russia was warned about strike fuel accusations that military action was taken to distract from mounting domestic problems
With tanking approval ratings, a failed attempt at producing healthcare legislation, and a swirling investigation into possible collusion with Russia, President Donald Trump's first hundred days were looking pretty bleak.
It was against this backdrop that the president late Thursday took unilateral and illegal military action against the Syrian government in alleged retaliation for Tuesday's chemical weapons attack against Syrian civilians, though no proof was presented to confirm reports that President Bashar al-Assad had ordered the deadly strike.
Now, as many foreign governments, U.S. lawmakers, and the corporate media are lining up in support of the bombing campaign, observers say it appears like a 'Wag the Dog' moment for Trump, distracting the opposition while conveniently flipping the script about Russia.
In a column on Friday, The Nation's Greg Grandin pointed out that with the one assault, the president successfully splintered the Democratic resistance, won the praise of the media, and changed the story of his friendly relations with the Kremlin.
Similarly, New Republic columnist and Georgia Southern University assistant professor Jared Yates Sexton outlined in a lengthy Twitter thread how the strikes have effectively changed the "entire conversation and narrative," writing:*
War changes entire conversation and narrative. Always has, always will. We've entered new territory and it's important to understand that. Already networks are talking about operations, the weapons. Instead of links of Russian suspicions, we have footage of missiles launching. Russia was warned, and might have been involved in the gassing, they had enough time to move troops. Yet, Trump "stood up" to Putin. If you think for a second this wasn't organized with Putin's blessing and cooperation...but yet it changes the conversation.
Little in way of results, but yet missile launchings are on a constant loop now. Trump projects strength, decisiveness. War wipes the slate clean, changes all attention. You can be all things to all people with the aid of war, and we're seeing that now. Next couple of days we're going to see media go into War-Mode, which is just slobbering over our armed forces expertise. There'll be no time to talk about Nunes, the Nuclear Option, Russian investigations. Now it's Trump—Commander-In-Chief.
