Can you say "Fail"?

What Obama did is utterly irrelevant and regardless of how the decide to waste money it's money that will still be wasted. Not only that this is not a war zone. These are our friendly neighbors and trade partners and the last thing we need in this nation are any European style borders.
No mention of the bi partisan immigration bill that was passed in the Senate, and died on Boner's desk years ago. Odd how they talk about Obama, but never Boner?

The answer is a comprehensive way to make immigrants contribute (more) to society, and get the most out of the fact that we aren't stopping the flow into the country.

You say walls don't work yet the huge tide of migrants has been stopped in Eastern Europe. The US is far from alone in building walls.

Well #1. A wall hasn't been built here yet and #2. We have a vastly superior record than Europe does on assimilating immigrants. We're not about to let the least educated members of our society influence public policy due to the bigoted and un-American rhetoric of a political demagogue.

Fear of the fuel for a lot of my conservative friends.
It is indeed. The facts are is that over the last four years more illegal immigrants have been deported than at anytime in our history and that laws that were implemented, such as e-verify, have caused a tremendous drop off in immigrants attempting to illegally enter our nation. Makes you wonder, if you look at it objectively, what the hoopla is about until you understand that it's not about solving a problem but about spreading hate, fear and ignorance.

And Europe doesn't have that pesky Rio Grande to deal with.

I believe that on trump's swearing in day, net immigration from Mexico was at zero.

Actually 700 miles has already been built, were you out to lunch when that happened?

Not belittling. At all. The attention they are bringing is meaningless. Nothing other than a feel good moment. Let me clarify. If they did this in front of the Knesset in Israel or HAMAS in Palestine....they might notice. Doing it here means diddly squat. When you protested against Iraq and Vietnam guess who listened? The government you were trying to get to listen did, because you are a citizen. If you were from say....Tibet, do you think your protest would matter? Hell no.

Right...and exactly how many illegal immigrants did they stop? If you guess "none" you would be correct.
Didn't you already say that there has been a drop in illegal immigrants? By the way Mexico has the same problem on their southern border. They are also contemplating putting up a wall as well!!

That was a joke Tom. On a summer day with a good running start you can jump across the Rio Grande. They say the same the same thing about the Rio as they do the Platte River. To thick to drink and to thin to plow.
