The family has complete control of his portfolio. He can tell them what he wants and they can make it happen.

It would be a lot easier to know what he does if he would only release his tax returns.

For a guy who stands to make multiple millions based on real estate as President I find it difficult to believe he is going to go to war because he owns a couple of defense contractor stocks or because he might buy some. That makes zero sense in the big picture.

Trump is a real estate developer, or was. His money is made in branding real estate developments. That is a completely opposite industry from Cheney

I'm not saying that's the main reason, it's a profitable tangent.

Why does trump want to expand the military to this extent? I recall rumsfeld et al. supporting a smaller, lighter military: High-technology combat systems; Reliance on air forces; Small, nimble ground forces. Help me understand why we need this huge expansion.

We seem to be talking apples-oranges here. My original comment was "Think of how much wealthier he and his cronies will become if there's war."

trump was more than just a real estate developer, what about all those good he was producing... clothing, liquor, steaks, water, home furnishings, fragrance etc. What about his bogus university? His failed airline?

trump's agenda is to make as much money as he can in any way he can. And you can bet your last dollar that if trump takes us to war, he will profit in that also.
