Rejecting Campus Illiberalism

It's crap regardless of who does it. But we are specifically speaking about college campuses here. As long as a person is not forced to listen to someone speak and as long as the person isn't a killer or something using violence to prevent people from speaking on college campuses in unacceptable.

Well I believe that's what everyone has been trying to tell you. It's unacceptable anywhere.

You tell me. You are the one who insist that he should be allowed to speak when he's not wanted.

How do you enforce that rule?

You're talking two different things. These speakers were approved by the University to speak. Mobs prevented them from doing so.

Where have I ever on this board supported violence at events?

But what does it have to do with universities? Cypress is trying to change the subject
No one is trying to change the subject. Why are you artificially singling out Universities is what we are asking you.

Mott it would be interesting if say 'SC rioted when Sista Soulja spoke back when I saw her. Would you, TTQ and others be saying the same "see, the students showed they didn't want her there" and have no problem with it? Or would we hear calls of racism, oppression etc? I think we all know it would be the latter.

Our "campuses" are systematically brainwashing our youth.

I would argue that academia should have no role in the shaping of our political process,
but rather to educate and promote free thinking objectiveness

should we not learn American history and how our government operates and functions in school?

Ben Shipiro and Charles Murry are racist POS who doesn't need to speak to any sane Americans.

If college students don't want to hear their brand of hate on their campus, I'm all for it.

Why do you want to force hate speech on American college students?
Who are you to decide who can or can't speak?

I won't click on your link. But I am well aware of the story. It was touted all over right wing radio when it happened.
I believe NOTHING that comes from the right, nor do believe this professor was hurt on purpose.

Why are you so concerned with this privately own college and it's liberal students? They have a right to do what they want. It's a private college......
Therein lies the seeds of fascism and intolerance, you don't get to decide who can speak at campuses.
