Rejecting Campus Illiberalism

This didn't happen to Ben Shapiro at Cal State LA or the professor who was attacked at Middlebury?

They weren't attacked or hurt they were rejected.

Then they went on right wing radio and lied and said they were hurt or attacked......and you believe them.

Ummm, this didn't happen?

""The normally peaceful campus of Middlebury College, with its mountain backdrop and elite reputation, was shaken last week after violent student protesters shut down a talk by controversial conservative social scientist Charles Murray and injured a Middlebury professor who was with him.""

You ignored it.

I ask about how kops have always been violent against Black protestors

You ignore it.

The students at college campuses do not want to hear the hate speech from the racist right wingers and you can't force them to.

I won't click on your link. But I am well aware of the story. It was touted all over right wing radio when it happened.
I believe NOTHING that comes from the right, nor do believe this professor was hurt on purpose.

Why are you so concerned with this privately own college and it's liberal students? They have a right to do what they want. It's a private college......

I support free speech on campus (which liberals used to do as well) and believe college should be a place where people are challenged and can hear differing views. No one should be forced to listen to anyone but I support the option to be available.

They still do it and the option is still available. To say otherwise is very deceitful.

What you don't understand is they already know what he's coming to speak about because it's the same right wing hate that is repeated on right wing radio and fox news, and they rejected it.

It's a pretty simple concept.

The article in the OP is not deceitful. It's speaking about what's happening on campuses. To each his own. If limiting speech and violence is your thing then more power to you.

It's deceitful to insinuate that college campuses are limiting free speech and using violence to do it.

Actually, it's a down right lie.

Do you know the difference between limiting free speech and rejecting hate speech?

Do they have the right to reject what ever speech they don't want to hear?

Not with violence and don't listen to someone you don't like. No one forced any of these people to listen to these speakers.

But you want to make it a law that he be able to speak?

"don't listen to someone you don't like"

I couldn't agree with you more. Except, your people tend to silence people who they don't want to hear from......like rap music.

Who said anything about a law?

Who said anything about a law?

Then I don't understand your argument. How do you propose he speak when no one wants him there?

You said he should be allowed, even though he's not wanted.

Should the campus be forced to let him speak?

Do you know the difference between protesting and rioting? Apparently not. When the "protests" involve violence, destruction, etc., it's no longer a protest.

It's the Boston Fucking Globe - not Infowars!
