Conservative muslim theocrats have always loved and preferred the Republican party. Whom they evidently recognize as kindred religious fanatics.
George Dumbya Bush was routinely photographed kissing and holding hands with the king of Saudi Arabia. I would not be surprised if they took a romantic moonlight stroll!
Poppy Bush sent in our army to rescue a tinpot Kuwaiti dictatorship.
And Ronnie Raygun was more than willing to break American laws to pay bribes in the form of high tech weaponry to the Iranian mullahs.

if you did some research you'd see they are doing internal reforms..

But mostly we need them to check Iranian expansion which got a huge boost from the results of the Iraq war,
and Obama boosting their economy..
There is no relationship with Iran, and never will be-in term of geopolitics they are all in with Russia
It won't be long before they are a nuclear power either, and then SA gets theirs from Pakistan.

There is no avoiding any of this-so either stay out of the game, or line up

i'm not talking about women - women's rights are always problematc in Islam-although there are some women voters now.
I mean economic diversification and large amounts of young foreign students worldwide.
If you want a society to change - open it up to western(foreign) influences..

This new guy is at least energetic and willing to challenge the mufti.

The Russian and the Persians have a nice thing going on in Syria and probably Lebanon soon enough
