Blizzard of '17; Southerners stay indoors, avoid travel

About 3" near Balto. ... prediction was for a blizzard with 6-12 inches.

Funny thing about the world "blizzard". The definition has changed. It used to require a temp of 20 or below.

I guess the Al Gorians needed "more blizzards".

:dunno:

Paid trough the nose. Maybe I can have a 10 minute business meeting at hooters and make people who wear red hats pay for it all!

Smart man. I can remember going as a kid in 1989 or 1990 I believe it was to the Oakland Coliseum to watch UNLV and Loyola Marymount play in the Elite 8. That was the year Hank Gathers died. Was amazing.

Spring is not too far away.........
Well, first we get mud. We finally got rid of all the snow that was on the ground, and everything dried out nicely. When this stuff thaws, it's going to be a mess all over again.

At least it ain't earthquakes.

It's a joke in my part of WV but the mountains to the east are getting slammed.

I'm done with winter. I'm ready for the pre-spawn bite when the rivers warm up.

There was a spring blizzard in the NE region 10 years ago almost to the day. I remember because the day before I flew into Boston for a Seminar in Marlboro. After that I flew to Binghamton NY to visit one our facilities and watched my Alma Matter play in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The next morning I heard about the Blizzard coming in and by noon I heard Binghamton airport had closed. Not wanting to be stuck in Binghamton I rented a car and drove home just barely at the front of the blizzard. Drove 35 mph from Binghamton to Cleveland. A 5 hour drive turned into a 10 hour drive. Once I turned south of Cleveland the weather cleared up but it took 12 hrs to drive what was normally 7 hours.

Another coworker waited an hour longer than I did before leaving Binghamton and he ende up
Spending the whole weekend there.

i live like 10 minutes from marlboro

at one point in your life, you were probably within a handful of miles of me.

I wonder if you felt my presence...
