Blizzard of '17; Southerners stay indoors, avoid travel

I hope it warms by the 23rd. Southeast regionals in Memphis, first class round trip tickets, plaza level center court.

:)

My Uber driver was complaining this morning about business being slow. I asked why he said most of the airports runs they usually do were cancelled because of the snow storm back East.

Northerners; you may need yor winter coat.

29 here when I woke up. Two of my peach trees and one cherry tree were in full bloom. :(. Got to drive my old work truck into town to pick up some concrete steps for my front porch. Tired of building wooden ones. The blinker hasn't been working so I needed to repair that before driving in traffic. Wore a coat but by the time I found the short and ran a new wire my hands were freezing. I can tell cold is going to adversely affect me as I get older. Grrr...

Getting bad out here Cap. Actually had to put on a lightweight chamois shirt........

Was thinking on firing up the wood stove but I hate wasting wood...gonna dig some steamers if the wind lets up a bit.
Still picking on right now...sounds like about 40 knots or so.
Predicted 60-70

There was a spring blizzard in the NE region 10 years ago almost to the day. I remember because the day before I flew into Boston for a Seminar in Marlboro. After that I flew to Binghamton NY to visit one our facilities and watched my Alma Matter play in the first round of the NCAA tournament. The next morning I heard about the Blizzard coming in and by noon I heard Binghamton airport had closed. Not wanting to be stuck in Binghamton I rented a car and drove home just barely at the front of the blizzard. Drove 35 mph from Binghamton to Cleveland. A 5 hour drive turned into a 10 hour drive. Once I turned south of Cleveland the weather cleared up but it took 12 hrs to drive what was normally 7 hours.

Another coworker waited an hour longer than I did before leaving Binghamton and he ende up
Spending the whole weekend there.
