If Evolution is true, how did DNA code itself

I understand protein synthesis just fine.

But we'll allow that probabilities are irrelevant. Do you and Dick[lol] maintain that life will form on any planet that has the necessary constituents [atmosphere with O2, water, stable sun etc] will produce life?
Will? No. Could? Yes.

Last sentence. Boom. "All this shit around me can't be! Just look at this shit! Most improbable"

Uh, but here it is.

The 'shit around me' isn't amenable to probabilities because the only explanation would be special creation and that's a no-no.

On the other hand, it's fair to ask what the probability of a given step of evolution might be. Evolution is all about steps and gradualism.

Isn't it?

First piece of evidence is that life exists. The second is absence of evidence of a deity. Science tells us much about life. Andmuch is unknown. The only difference between us may be you shove god in the unknown and I don't.

Then what's the explanation for the beginning of life, if not God?

This was a question posed to me the other day.

What do the great people of JPP say?

Evolution is one of the functions of DNA, as DNA creates an organism that has the ability to adapt and improve it's offspring to a changing world. This happens because the creator of DNA knew full well that the Earth like all planets would change over time. We evolve, just like every machine we have ever built, including your computer...............

Boom.

That and they're unable to present a scientific alternative.

That and they don't want to present a scientific alternative, they want to present a magical God alternative by dressing him up in a lab coat so the can trot him out in my kid's second grade class alongside evolution.

Which ends up confusing them about science and how it works.

So, evolution is whatever it needs to be?

Doesn't that make it unfalsifiable?

Boom.
No and no. In principle it's easily falsifiable but we're straying from the point of this thread and going over ground we've been to before. Ultimately a theory is only as useful as the predictions it makes that can be tested and independently verified. In that respect it is one of the single most important scientific theories ever, not withstanding your disagreement with it and will remain so until some empirical evidence is discovered that falsifies it are until a better scientific model is discovered.

The evidence for evolution creating life is far less than the evidence for God creating life..................
