WHAT HAS SESSIONS HIMSELF SAID ABOUT PERJURY?
Sessions voted to impeach Bill Clinton for perjury when the former president was accused of lying to a grand jury about his relationship with White House intern Monica Lewinsky, saying at the time that the decision weighed heavily upon him.
"It is crucial to our system of justice that we demand the truth," Sessions said after Clinton's acquittal in 1998. "I fear that an acquittal of this president will weaken the legal system by providing an option for those who consider being less than truthful in court. Yes and the mens rea is subjected to that standard. Under these facts, that the nation's top cop spaced out when he categorically asserted he did not speak to the Russians when he had done so twice personally within the last 4 months is an unreasonable doubt provided. He is guilty beyond reasonable doubt as to intent. That the statement was false is not even worthy of debate.

Are we supposed to consider this a 'meeting' with between Sessions and the Russians ?
Is it also a 'meeting' between Sessions and each of the diplomats in the group ?
Are pinheads actually insane in the true sense of the word ?

At the confirmation hearing for attorney general, Senator Al Franken, a Democrat,
asks Mr. Sessions what he would do if “there is any evidence that anyone affiliated
with the Trump campaign communicated with the Russian government in the course
of this campaign.” Mr. Sessions replies: “I have been called a surrogate at a time or
two in that campaign, and I didn’t have — did not have communications with the
Russians, and I’m unable to comment on it.”
Franken's question is about the campaign. "Affiliated with the Trump campaign"...."in the course of this campaign"....the context is clear .....and Sessions denies communications with Russians in that context....
His meeting was between a Senator and an Ambassador....not between a campaign official and a Russian....just as any meeting between a Senator and any foreign country's ambassador and is quite normal.
Senator Patrick Leahy, a Democrat, asks Mr. Sessions in a written questionnaire whether “he had been in contact with anyone connected to any party of the Russian government about the 2016 election, either before or after election day.” Mr. Sessions replied, “No.”
The context of the questions is the Trump campaign....meeting to discuss the campaign, and
Leahy plainly asks about meeting with Russians in connection with the 2016 election...
Sessions says he did not meet with the Russians in connection with the 2016 election.
He clarifies that as a Senator, in the course of his job, he often meets with foreign Ambassadors.
In neither case was there perjury or an attempt to mislead anyone....He answered the questions considering the context in

Where were you the other day when Rune told a bloody great porkie about military spending as a percentage of the government budget? He said it was around 55% when it is actually 16%. The loathsome toerag then proceeded to resort to cheap insults when confronted with the truth from Politifact. For the record, military spending as a percentage of GDP was 4.5% in 2015 and expected to be around 3.8% in 2020.
