What did Noah build the Ark with and what it says about OEC

The Oh My God thread got me to thinking about what sort of tools we had during the stone age. This made me think about what sort of tools Noah would have had available. Now I never really thought too much about the adequacy of the tools but that was due to understanding Noah in the context of young earth creationism.

PiMPle and others take up old creationism largely because they think it answers some of the huge problems that the flood raises. If the flood happened more than 10000 ya then this gives them more (not enough) time to explain things like biogeography and the ark. But then that leaves Noah with almost no tools.

There is no way he could build an ark with this. Not in 900 years. Boats only go back 10000 years as it is.

Yep, you either reject the notion that the flood literally happened or you are a young earth creationist.

PiMPle and TapsOut are just as silly as Ken Ham but less honest and quite possibly more ignorant.

Bible stories are a non starter. It's all total bullshit. Of all of the load of craps in that crap fiesta called a bible, the ark story takes the cake. And what a fucking dick God is, kills a bunch of fucking animals as collateral damage for human fuckup? And how irrational, picks a means that spares the fish? How big was that boat. What the hell did they eat? How many zookeepers were there? Did they grow a lime tree on board to fend off scurvy. How deep is this fucking retarded rabbit hole?

Religious people are god damned idiots. Most are obviously Republicans. And the ones who aren't religious lie and pretend to believe. No integrity. Fuck the cloud man and the horse he rode in on.

I have asked the creationists multiple times on multiple forum the same questions and have never received a rational response.

The Ark supposedly came to rest in Turkey. There are species - kangaroo, koala, platypus, etc - that are found no place except Australia. No evidence anywhere else.

The question is -!How did those animals travel that distance, unharmed and wait until they reached that destination to mate? The other obvious issues about housing and feeding those other animals for a year haven't been addressed either.

The problem is, Dick, they are non-thinking flat earthers. Their creationist sites and their blind faith removes their ability, if they ever had any, of rational thinking.

I didn't know so many black and Hispanic folk were Republicans. Do they just have trouble checking the correct box in the voting booth?

I frequently refer to diversion to avoid the uncomfortable truth. This is a perfect example.

God says he doesn’t want any sacrifices from people with damaged testicles.

God tells Moses that he is very particular about who can offer food at his temples. No one with a “defect” is allowed. That is, “no man who is blind or lame, disfigured or deformed; no man with a crippled foot or hand, or who is a hunchback or a dwarf, or who has any eye defect, or who has festering or running sores, or damaged testicles”.

From Leviticus 21:17-24.

I suspect all you male non-believers have damaged testicles.

As a non-tard, I believe that stupidity does not attach to racial identification. You'll need, however, to provide some statistics to forward your racist point.

^Back peddling. And failing.

Not at all, tard. Show me the stats. About 80 % of people in US are religious, I think roughly. Go ahead, tease out the numbers if you feel like helping a racist demonstrate blacks and latinos are more dumb than whites because more of them are religious. Make my day.

Yeah, biogeography is a huge problem for YEC. But OEC gets around it in a few different ways. They argue Noah's flood happened longer ago and/or they argue the flood was local. They will often date the flood at 50000 years agoor more. This is because they at least have to hold onto the belief that the flood wiped out all other humans due to it's importance in Christian theology.

I never really considered what that does to the tools angle because I usually consider the story in the yec context where they had some modest tools. It would still have been a big job 5000 years ago. But if you had 4 men (Noah and his son's) working for decades (magically lived for 100s of years) maybe.

But 50000 years ago. Boats are only ten thousand years old and with stone age tools that would have been available they could not have built anything more than a dugout or a raft. I doubt they could build anything capable of carrying the seven (or was it eight) people forget the animals.

So who is stupider PiMPle and OECs or Ken Ham and the YEC? It's a tossup.

Some biblical people lived some insanely long lives I seem to recall.

That is the second you have posted that. And the second time it is wrong. No one knows how old boats are. There is some evidence Neanderthals used them.
