After the Obama-Transformation of the Democratic Party, you won't get the chance to vote for a Clinton.

What transformation of the Democratic Party did Obama bring about? It is literally unchanged in 2017 from how it was in 2008.

There was a time when the Democratic Party was slightly left of center, and there were other people and other parties way off to the Left of the Democrats, which were the home of the Radicals.

Isn't it too early to see outcomes ? Obamacare hasn't been repealed yet, the EPA hasn't been eviscerated yet, the State Dept. is in the process of being purged , Gorsuch hasn't been confirmed yet.

The very notion that you could do something that would make you popular is enough to set off political rivalries. Look at all the fighting in Rome that occurred over obvious bills, just because of all the clients whoever passed them would gain (thus allowing them to establish a dictatorship). A republic is based on maintenance of the balance of power, if one person gets too much it runs away and becomes a monarchy.

The blue dogs were eliminated in the wave election of 2010, because they naturally tended to inhabit the most vulnerable seats. Moderate Republicans were wiped in 2006 and 2008 too. The moderates are always the first to go.

A massive infrastructure plan at this time makes no sense. We are in the Obama boom. Best to pay down the debt. With less bonds circulating, the value of the dollar would fall and we'd become more competitive. But yeah, spend it all in massive tax cuts and spending during a boom and just accelerate our economic decline.

It may be weaker, as SM said, and smaller, as you say.

But it is not one millimeter farther to the left today than it was eight years ago.
