Private server v. Public restaurant...?

it's simply amazing ( not) that all the Hillarybots who denied any problems with her private server, are now foaming about a cell phone call

But isn't that also just the reverse of what you're doing here now? If you thought the emails were a bad thing shouldn't this be right up there with them in terms of outrage?

I don't disrespect it, but I can't make sense of it either; an age discrepancy perhaps.

It may seem disproportionate to you.
But if it is, it's probably the Republicans that made the greater fuss; ALTHOUGH the Hillary thing has blown over by now, and the Dems. may catch up. Too soon to know. But so far, I believe it's the Republicans that win the prize for whining pointlessly about it.

Let's be clear.
Presidents are human. They're capable of lapses.

But this isn't something that a war-weary President Trump blundered into 7 years into an arduous, burdensome administration.
He did it less than one month into a fairly foreign crisis free time in U.S. history, in a restaurant he owns, which by the way is almost certainly a violation of the emoluments clause, unless the meals served were on the house. I doubt that.

As well as people who were concerned about what she may have shared through her personal email account. As I said in an earlier post, I have a clearance, and I know the consequences if I were to share classified information or even leave it out in the open on my desk. The content of her emails, and the content of what he had discussed in an open air setting for others to hear is most important to how far they should be prosecuted.

It's simply amazing the Trumptards who will defend this on its own merits (or the lack thereof).

The cell phone call might be a violation..i don't know the circumstances what was said where -but say it is.

Is that the same as the systematic lying and covering up,as well as setting up a private server that Clinton did ??
Both are bad -which is far worse?

Depends on the content! Both are negligent if the content is indeed meant to stay classified or fall under a security protocol. I can't discuss bolt or hole diameter's without it falling under the classification I'm under. The intent of a leak like that is the deciding factor on if I should be tried for treason or just lose my job.

So HRC stored emails about her daughters wedding on a private server, and they chanted Lock Her Up!

Donald Trump conducts emergency foreign policy at a public table in a restaurant...

Thoughts?

clinton STOLE classified emails from an internal government network. She transfered them to her own network. Then she lied about it, deleted the emails when caught, and smashed hard drives with a hammer. I have no option to conclude you are actually retarded at this point if you just think the outrage was over her "just having a server"

And yet despite all that PLUS an 11 congressional hearing, none of that was sufficient to even bring her to a law court trial.

- go figure -

They pretty much just concluded that she was negligent but they did not have proof of intent to prosecute, am I right?

The final government ruling was there wasn't enough to prosecute.

THAT DOESN'T EXCUSE IT !!

But it demonstrates that there appears to have been no dire consequence.

AND !!

There may be no dire consequence on the Trump restaurant-gate deal too.

BUT !!

When Hillary rates a 4.7 on the Richter Scale for it, why wouldn't

Trump rate a similar 4.7 on the Richter Scale reaction for his apparent breach?

Well, she did kind of lose her 'job' because of it. The people didn't elect her and that was one of the key factors in it. Just wish the Dems saw that issue to be what it was before the primaries. This whole tribal politics really blinds the shit out of people.

I don't remember Secretary Clinton being replaced in scandal.

The private server was a STUPID blunder! She NEVER should have done it. Lucky for her, it doesn't seem to have been hacked, according to the best PUBLIC information made available.

BUT !!

I don't care much for the "THE OTHER GUY'S A BUM TOO" defense.

Hillary wasn't president. Trump is.

President Trump should not reveal classified information in public access areas, even if he owns them.

Not replaced, but not given a position that many felt was inevitable. That's kind of my point. She suffered her consequences in the court of public opinion and we now suffer the consequences with a incompetent idiot who seems to not understand how government works.

You may be right. I have no memory of that.

My weak and badly faded memory of it was that Secretary Kerry was in office before Hillary's server-gate broke huge. But I may simply be wrong on that.

im actually loving the fact they were discussing this in mar a lago. It reminds me of andrew jackson inviting the people over the white house :)

By the end of her tenure as SOS she was toast....and Obama dumped her in the shit can....

and unless you have PROOF that Trump revealed classified information to the public, its best to just stfu....in Hillary's case it was proven. Comey's testimony under oath was
the nail in her political coffin....

????.....they all confirmed she committed perjury......the issue became "why bother" after she lost the election......
